"Excuse me, stewardess, I speak jive."

Two of his GVSU friends were at the tailgate and presumably also got married in the GVSU vicinity recently. Those same two friends also brought along their new wives, refusing to give monster that bromance loving he so desperately craved.
Yeah, hit the nail on the head there.
Thank you. There were just too many theres in that post there.

yeah, that was pretty bad, even for me. :o

Morning Lodge.

Went to an ankle doc yesterday to see about getting my right one replaced - I wore the original one out. No cartilage left. May get it done if the timing works out. The doc turned out to be the brother of one of the hockey moms I know, so an uncle of one of Jr's teammates last season.

The car is in a shop and has not been ruled as totaled - yet. I hope they can repair it, but doubt it due to drive train damage. If it can be repaired we can drive it another year or so and then look to replace it and give this one to Jr.

Did USCHO use the Syrian hack incident to make some very small changes to the site? For example, if I go to the Member List and then use the Search Members link on the right, a secondary Advanced Search link comes up that I am positive wasn't there before.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

My laptop has been acting up since a few days after receiving it in the mail, back in July, browser crashes (both Firefox and IE) mostly and then some OS crashes. Well when the thing would crash it eventually said that there were hard drive sectors failing, was doing some quarantines and such. It continued to crash. Last night I finally called up HP about the issues I'd been having. They had me run a quick HDD scan in BIOS, which came up negative for issues, then had me run an extensive scan. That was going to take almost three hours, and it was already 10:00, so we're going to continue that conversation tonight. Well, I woke up to a computer with no HDD errors indicated on this scan. Surprised - as well as a bit irritated - I ran a memory scan as the next logical step from a HDD failure, and finally that hit something. In fact, it threw an error within about 30 seconds of running. So I'm going to be down a laptop for the time being while it gets shipped to and fro. Fun stuff. It looks like it's time to remove any personal information.

They must have, because when I now try to swtich from Mobile to USCHO 2011, neither one is there in the drop down box.

Yes, that is one of the other things that I noticed. I also think that the link saying What's New on the left was somewhere else. I keep hitting it thinking that is where the Forum link is.

None of these changes seem big at all.

In other news....my car is NOT totaled. They are going to repair it. May take a week and a half. I will get a loaner car sometime but all are out right now. Jr will get an Outback some day.

I had a chance to go to the Brazil-Portugal soccer game at Gillette Stadium tonight. Today I found out that the tickets were in our suite. Had I known that I might've gone. It's hard to drive all the way down there and back. Getting out of the parking lots and heading home would take forever. Would've been kinda cool to see though.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Ugh. Co-worker had family emergency today, had to leave right at start of shift.
Main building sends down another worker, one who's only worked at offsite twice, and only really knows how to do one shipping process (not a knock on her, she just hasn't been at offsite enough to learn everything).
I decide to have both of us ship stuff, and not do any receiving.

Get call at 1pm (4 hours into shift) from CoolBoss. "How much receiving is left?" Me: "All of it." CB: "You're kidding. That's why I sent her down there, to do all shipping, and you receiving." Me: "She can't do half the other stuff, because of her physical size/training (no way she can toss 100lb motor, nor run the forklift; can only run cherry picker)." CB: "Well, you can still do that stuff." Me: "That's what I'm doing."

CB gets mad at that. WTeFF? Then send someone down that knows how to do receiving!!!! NOT DIFFICULT.

On top of that chewing out, when I get to main building at 7ish, I get chewed out again for it. 8pm comes around, I say to CB, "Hey, you're losing me." (There was still about an hour's worth left of work) CB: "Huh? You're punching out?" Me: "Yes, I IMed you this morning when co-worker said he was out for the day/etc." CB gets mad at that. I just walk away before I say something I was going to regret.

TUESDAYS SUCK.
