Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

So, that's what the goofer fans that out punted their coverage are calling it these days. ;)

Sitting somewhere in between the HHT and the *HT with a tie. Great night though. Little gII got a ride on the Zamboni. Both boys gave knuckles to the guys as they hit the ice and little g got a game puck after the game.

Given how the PWR works now, it's HHT if the tie is away and *HT if the tie is at home. Great to hear of the experience for your kids. :)

Good Morning Lodge.

Well Jr did NOT make the cut for the BSM JV team. Close, but not quite. They had 2 scrimmages Friday night and 2 Saturday morning. Had he played as well on Saturday as he did Friday coach said he would have made it. It was designed to test their endurance and he failed in that (course, mom and dad have been urging him to do more endurance work for moths now, but nooooo:rolleyes:). Junior Gold Tryouts are Monday and Wednesday evening, just registered him for that.

Howdy Lodge. Got up early today to eat, go food shopping, then head down to the Wrentham Outlets because I got a really good coupon in the mail at one of my favorite stores down there. Which I naturally left on my dining room table. Crap. Home for a bit, then off to Agganis for hockey. Not sure what to expect after Friday night's horrid loss.

Still a hell of a run, to be that close to making one of the best teams in that state...wow! Good for T.

For those who remember/know the posters Quizmire and Sloe Gin...

Quiz has just finished the biking portion of the AZ Ironman Triathlon, 9:40 for the time so far.
Sloe Gin is a couple miles into the run portion of the same event, about an hour ahead of Quiz.

They are absolutely crazy, but they are 2/3 of accomplishing their goal of becoming Triathletes! :)

Thanks Mark. :) That last period, and last 4 minutes of the game, was way more uncomfortable than it needed to be. But....a win is a win is a win. Yay!

ETA - mookie, got you a schedule poster. Will you be there Saturday??

Evidently my niece held tough today and didn't cry when the Gopher women lost. Heard she looked like she wanted to though. She is eight years old, and they are her heroines. :)

Well, I have a high school player. The boy made JV and has been told by the head coach that he will get to dress for a few varsity games - assuming of course that he earns it. He's a grinder and a gamer though, so he'll get his shot. All effort.

He's loving every minute of being part of a high school team - the camaraderie of being on a high school team is nothing like youth hockey and he's starting to get that now.

I don't expect him to play beyond high school (maybe club or D-3 but he'd have to develop a bit) but even getting this chance with a really good (great) program will be something that he carries with him forever.

Happy for him and excited to get to follow him now as a fan (and team mate/opposing player as he's been coming to my men's groups since bantams ended) instead of a coach although I'll miss being on the bench in games with him.

Okay, enough rambling... :)
Is he a sophomore? Are you in Wisconsin? We play a couple of Wisconsin schools in a tournament.

Edit: Verona.. We're in a tourney with Edgewood and Notre Dame.
