Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Hey bbdl, I'm headed home today, let me know if you are interested in me trying to pick up a cigar city brewery growler for your big bash.

Sure, why not! Can you contact me via twitter or facebook, and I can send you my address. Then just let me know how much I owe you.

For me, you can tell them to go ahead and slide into the Pacific, or build a new mountain range where LA was. :p

Hey. My brother lives there. ::mad:: Thuogh he is flying home tonight for my birthday exxtavaganza weekend so if it happens when he's here, that's OK.

Just booked my trip. For you MN peeps, I fly in 10/30 and am there till Monday the 4th. Staying at the Hilton at the MOA. How long would it take to get to the Xcel if I fel the urge to go to a Wild game while in town?

Just so you know, the Hilton that says MOA is not close to MOA. It's much closer to Southdale and my house. The Wild host the Canadiens on 11/1 and the Devils on 11/3. I'll give the back road way to get to the X and it would take you ~30 minutes on Friday or ~20 minutes on Sunday.

We may actually be in Des Moines that Fri-Sat and might go to a Iowa Wild game then. Primarily will be going to see my cousin's daughter-in-law in Wicked again.

I was actually tossing around the idea of going down to Des Moines that weekend for the Saturday game against Texas. Tech's former goalie, that Shirtless Guy and I golfed with in a charity tourney this summer, plays for Texas.

But if Scarlet wants to go out on the town, I may be convinced to hang around here. :)

If we go to the Wicked matinee on Saturday, I will try to convince the Mrs that we should go see that Wild game that night.

Scarlet - sent you an e-mail.

The Hilton website shows that the MOA Hilton is roughly at American Blvd and 34th Ave S. There's another one that's listed as Bloomington which is located at American Blvd and France Ave - much closer to you and farther away from St. Paul.

Scarlet, it might be good for you to verify in which hotel you're staying. Both of them are technically in Bloomington, one is just farther east than the other. The one that would be better suited for your needs is this one: 3800 American Blvd E, Bloomington, Minnesota 55425. This is the one that's right across I-494 from the airport.

He's right, I missed that one. :o I did Hilton MOA and spotted the other one first. That one is much closer to MOA, airport and Xcel.

That's the one I'm staying at.

This is why I'll be there and what I've been working on and what will consume my life through the end of the Olympics.

The Minneapolis event is at the MOA, outside in one of the parking lots. I encourage all of you to stop by. It's free and open to the public. Gold medal figure skater Sarah Hughes will be in our booth both days. If you want to see me, this is where I will be! The booth is open till 6:00 so it might be a little difficult to get there in time for face off if I choose to go to a Wild game. Maybe I can see if Charlie Coyle can get me tickets!!

Are they making you go to Grand Forks too? Yikes! :(

You can miss the face-off if you go Sunday night - hell, half the crowd does anyway. ;)

goldy is so Edina-Centric.... :D

The Lass' Cochlear Implant was activated today: All systems go, situation normal! All the electrodes fired and both grounds. Even though it will take her brain some time to adjust to the new way it receives & processes sound (right now we sound like "Robots" to her) it won't take long before she's hearing naturally.

Once again, the techie engineer types have my respect and thanks, amazing stuff. :)
