Moore, OK, is a mess, to say the least. Pictures and video are one thing, but walking through a neighborhood that looks like each house was put in a blender, pulsed, and dumped back out will really shake you. It's unsettling. Damaged houses we tarp roofs and help clean up. But other places all we can do is move a pile of sticks and bricks from their pad and yard to the curb so it can be hauled away, checking for personal treasures on the way. I'm working with wonderful people, meeting a lot of generous folks, and serving some tremendously strong and grateful people.

Me: Yes, I'm fine.

Lady friend: "that didn't sound very sincere.. But okay.

Ten minutes pass

Lady friend: "what's going on?"

75 minutes pass

Lady friend: ?

60 minutes pass

Me: I said I'm fine.

Lady friend: Well something's up.. Please tell me..

50 minutes pass

Lady friend: K cool. Don't text me back. Whatever then.

45 minutes pass

I write this post, and I'm giving her "the chase" she wanted.

*i'm not one to play games, and I really don't like treating her this way. I just don't know how else to react or try and make her understand I'm done waiting around to come at her calling.

Then tell her to stop contacting you you for the summer with these little check-ins if she wanted distance. She can't have it both ways with you, either in or out. She won't figure out whatever the hell it is she's looking for this way, and blah, blah, blah. You'll figure out what to say.

I can't wait for this week to end, so bored sitting at home and not able to do jack.

Have had 3 times I spent a week (or more) from work. Once was vacation (had to burn days), once was injury (compressed ulnar nerve), and the last one was this jury duty thing. Agree on after a bit, it drives you nuts. Unless you're independently rich.....ugh.

I have to take at least one whole week off from the office every year as an audit procedure (look for any accounting abnormalities that discontinue while you're out). It's just that in the past I've had the ability to do stuff.

I can understand that (mandatory stuff). I am lucky enough to usually take 2-3 days off often enough to not have to burn days just to burn days. To be brief: as long as people keep getting married out of state, I think I'm good on that practice.

You're not giving her the chase, your just being mean and stupid at the same time.

Seriously, you can talk with her and still give her the chase. If you don't want to talk with her, say so. Or say that you just have stuff to do and can't talk now. Ignoring her is just childish and immature.

You keep this up all you are going to do is drive her away permanently.
