Looks like I been negg'd. (MUnRPI, for those of you keeping score. Poor guy.) For my refill, I'd like a Scarletini, with a MargaRAYta chaser, please.

Sorry to say I need to make Scarletinis for others before I can make one for you. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Morning

Hanging out at home, making some bacon and eggs before heading to Shirtless Guy's hitching.

No bacon and eggs, still kind of full from the pizzas Almsy, MNS, and I ordered at 2:30am after a good night at TK's.

CC to bbdl: Hannah wondered where the heck you were. Told her "groomsmen's dinner," and she said, "HE'S not getting married, is he?! That's awful quick!" :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Good morning Lodge. At the airport waiting for my flight to LA. Got home last night and checked email and saw one from American about potential delays due to the sequester that were supposed to start this morning. Odd. Fine so far and flight is currently on time. We'll see what happens.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Opposite Girl strikes again. Everyone boarded, door shut. Pilot comes on speaker to tell us our 7:20 flight will now not take off till 8:22. I had signed up for text notifications and got one that said 7:40 departure the just got one that said 7:50 departure. We'll see what really happens.

Not sure how this sequestration affects this. Fewer air traffic controllers?

Good Morning, Lodge!

I hate bridesmaids shopping or shopping in general unless it is at Target or the liquor store. Today we are accessories shopping. Please shoot me.

Morning, Lodge.

I think after a tough 5 days the lady and I are gonna make it. Thank God.

I'm going to whip up some egg whites and make a couple of English muffins.:)

Planning on making her dinner when she returns to town tonight from soccer. Any suggestions?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

You know it's a good wedding when one sheriff is overseeing the reception, and another sheriff kicks you out of the bar where you are having a post-reception drink.

Without context, the above statement is hilarious. :D

Context: I guess MN is required to have a police presence when there's a certain number of people/alcohol being served. And the latter part of the above statement, the cop was there anyway, and simply notified people that it was closing time, need to leave. :)

Fun wedding, fun reception. There are some good pics floating around, as part of the reception, guests were encouraged to take part in a "photo booth" sort of thing, where the photographer had props/etc to wear.

Yes and no. It means that the airlines scheduled more flights that would get to your destination about the same time than a single controller could handle (based on the filed flight plan). The Traffic Management Unit in DC will then start issuing an Expected Departure Clearance Time to all flights into that particular airport sometimes on a 2 hour delay. The tower then has 10 minutes on either side of the EDCT to get the flight wheels up. The pilots know the time as soon as they get their route clearance. They don't tell you until you board so no one wonders why they're boarding when the flight is delayed for so long and they can leave the gate so 1) Another airplane can use the gate and 2) The pilots can start getting paid. Since a lot of controllers are furloughed I'm guessing there is more combining of positions then there used to be which would limit the workload more.

You must have slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night. ;)
