Lightning and thunder here in 320ville. Odd being that the yard is buried in 2-3 feet of snow yet.

Is it thundersnow? My favorite phenomenon - I've only experienced it twice.

First time was my sophomore year at Tech. A guy ran down the dorm halls jokingly screaming "REPENT!!1! THE END IS NIGH!1!!1!" :D

No thundersnow. Just a regular thunderstorm. In fact, just had a bright bolt light up the room and then a house shaking boom!

I also remember the October thunderstorm when lightning struck the top of Wadsworth, where I lived. KA-POW! Good times.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

It's just odd witnessing a thunderstorm while we still have a shiat load of snow covering the ground.

In other news, I have poured myself a scotch on the rocks in honor of my dad. He would have been 64 today. 3/30/49. Cheers and RIP.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

That was a very genuine drunken post.

All went exactly how I hoped except UND managed to pull that one off. ****. So close to the perfect results for the day.

Is anyone left sitting with me?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

anybody want to trade for my sister? If you don't want your expensive bag kicked then dont leave it on the stairs where you KNOW you've been warned. I hooked it going down the stairs last night.

You know, I may be some degree of wrong but what a royal ****ing *****.

It's the complete and total hostility that I get the moment I do something out of her pattern.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

Good morning Lodge. Fun day yesterday. No work, four hockey games, friends and food. Plus me time at the hairdressers. Congrats to my Lodge friends whose teams were victorious and condolences to you whose teams were.....not. It's the tournament!! Love it. Wish I was a part of it. Even with the stress around it.

More hockey today. More food and hanging out with friends. But first, I'm catching up on a couple of recorded shows, then to my parents' house - my dad is having his Red Sox ticket draft at 11. He usually has it on a week day and I can never go.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

Woohoo... I got to stock paper and chemicals (household cleaners, laundry soap, etc) last night. Much easier than the cereal aisle.

And now my lap is full of cats. Life is good.

I've got a sister in law like this. Selfishness is somewhat natural to everyone, to be sure, but most adults work at suppressing it. Not her: inconvenience infuriates her.

But good morning nonetheless, Lodge! Sorry if your team lost yesterday, and congrats if you won!

I empathize especially with the Gophers right now (Minnesota vs. Yale yesterday reminded me of Michigan vs. Cornell in the first round of the 2012 tourney), but that will have to be the last time I do. Starting next season with the BTHC, I'll officially have to dislike the Gophers.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

What a dreary day. A normal rainy day in Seattle would be more uplifting than the weather here. Ugh. It's like God is sad that the Gophers lost, too. ;)

Perfect day to clean house and laze about, though. I love built-in excuses to not really do anything!

Good morning Lodge.

Everything omelette's have been served along with fresh fruit, oj and coffee.

Ageed about the dreary part. Fixed your post on the other part. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

Good morning, nice to be home. :)
This whole being a fan of two teams is wearing on me. I've for UND to go to Pitt at 3, Mavs with their irat appearance since 2003 at 4. Tomorrow should be interesting, to say the least.
Sybil? :D
