Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #164: Weekend Plans

Do you know what it means? ;)

Long story short, GPL uses IRC for game chats. The iPhone IRC apps don't have any form of autocorrect to clean up the spelling on your messages. The running joke on GPL is that my iPhone is a sloppy drunk since most words look like they were typed while absolutely sloshed. One of the words that has kind of caught on was "eellcshot" which was supposed to be "well shit". :D

Maybe you shouldn't try typing on your phone when you're pinding your monkey. :D

My nephew who just had a baby will be in town this weekend for the first time since his daughter was born a couple weeks ago. What the heck do you get for a new baby gift that I have to assume is customary in this situation? The usual nothing that I get him for special occasions might not be viewed in the greatest light this time.

Guys are able to give birth now? :p

As for gifts, my policy is cash, stocks, or lottery tickets. Nothing says "Congratulations" like ten bucks worth of scratch-offs.

If you want to go practical - diapers or wipes. You can never have too many of either.

Pacifiers, rattles, hats, etc. are another way to go. Or baby socks. For some reason, women seem to lose their mind over how cute baby socks are. I don't understand it. If all else fails, go to Babies r Us and find a cute associate to help you out.

A bottle of liquor for the father seems appropriate.

You want me to give a nursing mother a bottle of liquor? Are you not paying attention to the situation surrounding the gift or do you just want to taunt the woman?

Does not necessarily apply to Minnesotans who are fans of non-MN teams.

Me.

Well.. A surprise trip to town last night from one of my very good friends and we ended up going bowling; 50 cent games and 50 cent beers. Lets just say the night got pretty wild. Class today was a struggle, and I'm officially cashed out for the week. Thank God I have nothing but hockey on tap.

It is always great to see your best friends, though.:)

If you want to go practical -
Tequila. And make sure you do some product testing on it first.
