Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #163: Irish Eyes Smile

I'm sorry for the first game yesterday as well, Mav, because BU needed you guys to win. What is with you people??????? First Mark's team, now Mav's team. I'm almost afraid to see who BU needed to win the UND-CC game.

;)

Good morning and Happy Friday Lodge.

So here's a question.....went out to dinner with a bunch of friends last night to celebrate a birthday. We all split the bill evenly (except for the birthday girl of course) and all of us paid cash. Except one, who paid by credit card. It's not really that big a deal but there's this little part of me that gets aggravated when that happens. Not sure why. It's wrong of me to feel like that, right?

Lil woke himself up at 2 AM, took a shower and then realized that it was indeed 2 AM. This was funny when I found out this morning. He also took his contacts out (he wears them overnight, pops them out in AM and then sees 20/20) that isn't so funny. He needs 6 hrs to be able to see. Less and he gradually can't see. He has no idea when he can't see anymore and is driving himself. Made him wear the contacts to school. He was soooo not happy. Had to threaten to take away his keys to make him wear them. These things always happen when Mr is away.
Threaten him with a shovel. I'm sure you can find one around here to smarten up the big dunderhead. ;)

Are you aggravated over splitting the bill evenly, or over the one person that used a credit card?
I have friends that just don't carry cash. We routinely go out in a large group after hockey games, and all of us pay cash except one couple that pays on a credit card. I've become used to it. I used to think, "you know you're going out with a large group of people, bring some cash". But then, they've payed me back with a postdated check before, so maybe they use a credit card because they don't have money at that time.

Yes, it is.

Mookie would have swooped all your cash up and put the nut on his card too for the free miles/points/cash back :D

What the heck kind of contacts are those? Something that will let you see better without them?!

Just over the person that used a credit card. I could get annoyed over the splitting evenly as I was the only that didn't drink alcohol and some of them had 2 glasses of wine.

THAT bothers me more as a reason when people do that but thankfully that was not hers. Not sure why things like that bother me. I know I need to get over it.

Good Morning Lodge.

Mavs - sorry for the first one,:( very NOT sorry for the second one.:D

The fewer annoying Whioux fans around tonight, the better. The more annoyed the Whioux fans, the better.

ETA: Jr and I will stop by the tailgate briefly before the Gopher game tonight. Hope to meet Almington and swap some tickets.

I'll see you then if I'm there, otherwise, ill shoot you a message an come say hello,

Feeling a bit better this morning.. Last night was one of the biggest mood swings I've had in a while.. Great excitement to great disappointment.

I don't even have an explanation what happened to the Mavs yesterday. First of all, our team has been predicated on good team defense with solid goaltending, neither of which happened yesterday. Second, we've been very good on the PP all year, and while we scored two goals on a 5 minute major, I was very disappointed in our PP, and the fact we took a boneheaded penalty when it was 4-1 with 3:40 to go on the PP. Third, we couldn't finish. We are a top ten scoring team and didn't get the job done.

All in all, we were screwed when Williams let in two SOFT goals and was fighting the puck all game.

Oh, and we gave up two shorties.

Morning, Lodge-O. Time for a mass-Lodge reply:

I'm very, very crushed.

1) Following up Scarlet: Yeah, thanks a LOT man.

2) I do like the idea that the last WCHA championship could be between Colorado College and St Cloud State. The poor tArrogance! :D

Drive by from Orlando. Time to get my muggle on. :)

Say Hi to Hermione for me, wouldja? (Rooowwwwwrrrrr!!!)

You're allowed. You know, if it all actually added up, I'd count your blessings, 'cause even more annoying to me is the "All right, we're STILL ten bucks short, who didn't pay in full?" Crickets! Crickets!:mad::mad:

You guys are right, I probably should've played in net the first period!

Sounds like you just need new friends then..;)

I've found at times, as long as you've got good people and not jerks, that sometimes the last person w the check or paying via cc has to pay little to nothing, makes money, or throws the rest into a large tip.

Either way, it works well for somebody.
