Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Let me get this straight:
1) On Valentine's Day, you
2) find a young hot woman in need of assistance
3) in uniform?!?

The gods send you a gift, and you just **** it away! Duuuude!!!!

:p
She's about half my age, maybe 21 or 22. That's just too young for me. And she's just too stupid - (calling 911 because her keys were locked in her car?). Also, I'm only marginally better with women than MNS... but at least I've had some successes. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Afternoon, folks.

We play our first game of the Breezy Point Tournament tomorrow at 1. The lady friend and I decided to snag a room at Grand Casino tonight, which was actually very cheap. Leaves us only about thirty miles left to drive tomorrow. (Game is in Crosby.)

Looking forward to getting away for the weekend. It's been a long week, so it should be refreshing.

Also, I was asked to help coach our Squirt A team in the biggest Squirt tournament in the country next weekend in Fargo, ND. Made the plans official today. I'm really excited for that; the experience should be very, very cool.

Thundershowers down here in the 813 today. Lounging around, maybe I'll finally start hanging some stuff on my walls or something.

Hey Ralph!

Happy 154th Birthday to George Ferris Jr, inventor of the Ferris Wheel and RPI class of '81. (EIGHTEEN eighty-one, that is.) Don't know how his slapshot was, tho'. :)
Yes, I noticed that he is honored by Google today.

Rant. Holy hell. I am solo with my dad and step mom. Getting them from Hilton head to mayo today/tonight. My dad is barely medically cleared to fly. My step mom has her own medical issues which has made her a couple fries short of a happy meal and add in that she has not slept in four days plus the stress of everything that has been going on. I have maybe slept three or four hours a day since last Wednesday. Again, holy hell.

Continuous prayers; Courage and strength from God!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Happy VD lodge. ewww.
Sooo.....you're in Marquette?

My bus was stuck behind a Dodge (of lowest) Caliber that was going 30 in a 45 where we had perfectly plowed and even dry roads. Freaking imported drivers. Highway 77 was a parking lot while trying to cross the MN River.

Add to that, I was held up while in my driveway because a neighbor (woman/girl, early 20's to late teens) to whom I've never spoken before came over to get help because she'd locked herself out of her car while clearing the windows, and subsequently her house too. She'd also locked her phone in the car and so wanted to use mine. I let her use it, but not before having to stop her from calling 911 to get help. Jeez. People are idiots. That girl is really lucky that she's pretty cute or her future would be completely doomed. Instead I found her the non-emergency number for Farmington police, and a cop showed up with one of those lock jimmies. A bit of ironic humor to her needing police help is that she was wearing a rent-a-cop uniform from American Securities.
One of the reasons I'm glad I cannot lock my car from the inside unless all doors are closed.

HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY. I'm not completely inept...I've reached on a throwing error. :D :o

Wow. Good Luck gmann! No siblings available to help you?

Mavsy, where are you staying while at Breezy? Be sure to go to the Commander and have a garbage pizza. And good luck up in Fargo!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Submitted a resume to a bank for an analyst job and had a recruiter interview the next day. Now today they called to set up a phone interview for next week.

Either I fit exactly what they need, or they are desperate. But whatever gets me a job! :D

On the V-day front, i think we are just going to dinner tonight. I already sent the flowers and balloons to her work.

PNC? Mellon? Non-disclosed? Those are the ones with which I'm familiar out there, only because my uncle worked for them.

We're staying at the Breezy Point Resort; Really looking forward to that, as well.

I don't know if it's common for you and you cake eating friends to eat pizza from the garbage, but..;)

That garbage pizza is so good. My parents used to have a cabin about halfway between Crosby and Aitkin, on Stark Lake, so about 14 miles from the "downtown" areas of both towns. I remember Crosby having a few giant fiberglass fish along the lake shore, about four bars, and a church in its downtown area. All for a town of around 500 people - at least that's how it seemed to me back then - and it's not even an Irish town.

Where in the resort though? Lots of choices, some better than others. Only bad part of BP tourneys is games in Crosby, especially late night when it snows. Enjoy the breakfast buffet - lots of bacon!

Hope our outdoor ice tonight is decent. Looks pretty melty out there right now...
