You can't be serious.

I agree w scarlet... In Maine we laid an egg... Merrimack could have gone either way... I'm perfectly happy with Lowell's capabilities and they tend to execute... In HEA I'm only afraid of BC.

I mean, good teams where it can be a coin flip... It can't be a surprise but it can be a relief :o

Morning. So our 2 barges we push are held together by wires (maybe like 7/8" or close to it.). We were crossing the Mississippi Sounds from NOLA to Mobile, and proceeded to snap 3 wires, twice, in a span of 7 hours. We usually have 4 wires rigged to hold them together, plus lines. To say it was a stressful day is being generous.

Unfortunately, I couldn't indulge in national margarita day.

Good morning to tLodge. ;)

Major electrical issues here at the house. Power company says everything is good to the meter. Need to bring in an electrician to check it out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Morning, Lodgers.

Couple of nice things from my son's squirt year-end tourney game last night. After the game -- which was a whupping, but could've been worse -- the coach said, "StPaul Jr, you were a beast out there!" And he was, too. He was the guy who was actually looking around, using his eyes and his brain, to notice that all four of his teammates were way over there in the corner, and two opponents had happily moved in front of the net, where they sat all alone waiting for a pass and an easy goal, so he'd hustle over and get in their way. Broke up several plays just like that. Sounds simple, but it was nice to see. And nice for the coach to give him props in the locker room.

The other nice thing was a parent for the other team being unhappy with his team even though they won easily. I was running the clock, and he was scorekeeper, so we were sitting together between the benches. He was unhappy was because 7 of their goals were unassisted. It was like a mite game out there. All these players picking up the puck, putting their head down, and trying to skate all the way all by themselves. They must've had two dozen 2 or 3 on 1s. But very little passing. So I say I was glad the dad next to me was unhappy, but he wasn't a screaming obnoxious sports parent. He was saying, Yeah, you're winning easily, but you're playing terrible hockey. So that was nice to see, somebody interested in learning the game, rather than simply winning.

On to the loser's bracket! :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

It is weird waking up at the *HT. On the bonus side, at least DU helped SCSU out.

Don't ask me. I'm lazy. Just check mutual friends and do the work yourself. :p

I've already got you, slick.

So it's been an interesting last 24 hours. On the way to our first game early yesterday morning, I had to pull over and puke. When I initially woke up I didn't feel that great, as my dinner from the night before, pizza, felt like a pit in my stomach. That's what I got rid of, and I felt much better after. As soon as I got through the handshake line, I felt my bottle of water I'd drank ready to come back out. Barely made the bathroom and disposed of that. Went back to our hotel, laid down after drinking just a little bit of Gatorade to try and rehydrate. Was fine for an hour or so. Drank some more Gatorade, disposed of all that was left of that. I continued to lay down, and took a couple hours off from putting anything in my body. I decided not to go to our game at 2:30, as i didn't feel great and didn't want others exposed to me.

At about 3:30 I had more water, and kept that down. At about 5, more water, still fine... Until 6:30 or so when I puked again. (The parents got a limo for the coaches and players prior to the Fargo Force game, which I wasn't able to attend:() I ended up missing the game period. I ended up getting a bottle of water and a 12 oz Gatorade down, was able to urinate, and called it a night.

This morning I had another 12 oz Gatorade and a small bowl of chicken noodle soup. Hoping it stays down!

Less detail. LESS DETAIL!
Hope you feel better soon. :)

Great. Wake up this morning to a gunman holed up at the end of the subdivision.

I woke up to find MNS still sleeping on my couch. Trade ya? Your situation sounds more exciting. ;)

Gonna be a lazy day today. It'll be a matter of how many movies can a cram in before the Gophers game. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I popped the garage door open to see 2 city cops and an ambulance on one end, and 3 state troopers, a fire truck, and a Channel 13 news truck at the other end.

If it's who I think it is, I hope they shoot the son of a *****.

I don't want to shoot anyone. I just want to knock some sense into some people.
