Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

A -28 windchill is only dangerous is you don't know what you are doing. Otherwise it's nothing more than a mild inconvienance.

Talk to me when you have had to go out every hour to de-icing instruments when it is -34, sustained winds of 80 with gusts over a 100, walking to class in slightly sub-zero temperatures with a bit of wind is nothing to complain about.

But what if we're not stupid enough to take a job (or course program) like that? :p

I still don't want to hear the whining that it's a little cold and windy out. That's why humans invented hats, gloves/mittens, and jackets, use them.

Not to mention those little toe warmer deals you can get as well

Eh, I've had to work outside for a week in Grand Forks when it was colder than that.

So jr's coach finally came down hard on the screw-ups tonight. Sat the top line and one other F. So jr had to get the gwg in a 3-2 win.

So I put in for two days of PTO on March 21 & 22 and bought a five-game pass to the Final Five. Regardless of who's in it, I'm watching all five games. It's the last year of the WCHA being a good conference and I want to be there to see it go out in style.

I don't usually complain about such things, and colder temperatures have bothered me less in the past, but holy hell I am not dealing with it well tonight. Cripes.

I blame losing a few layers of blubber in the past year. Those whales are on to something.
