Good morning Lodge and Happy Friday!! Hockey tonight. I'm.....not sure I'm looking forward to it.
Went out for my Thursday post work beverage. Hottie bartender not there - ohnoes! But it was a nice, early night, caught up with a friend from work. No martini but a couple of glasses of wine. Is that better for you? I woke up with a headache at 5:30, took a few Walgreens version of Excedrin, went back to bed, felt a little better, got up at 6:15 and walked the treadmill for 35 minutes, then had oatmeal for breakfast at home instead of my usual Friday grilled corn muffin. It's January 4th. I want to see if I can keep this going for more than a week in the New Year before I revert back to my unhealthy ways.
mookie - will you be there tonight? Naturally I forgot your golf coupon. If not, when is your next game so I can plan to bring it with me?

I survived the outdoor hockey practice last night. It was fine for the 1st hour and 15 minutes, because I stood like a scarecrow, hunkered down, conserving heat, hands in pockets, stomping the feet a little. It was a beautiful clear night, actually. Even when I had to help re-install the goalie's leg pads -- which required me taking off my gloves -- it wasn't too bad. The last 15 minutes almost did me in, though; the teams had a scrimmage, so I was being a fan, cheering, being a doofus, etc. Suddenly it was COLD.

Under the category of kids say the darndest things........
Last night I was playing Wii Mario Kart with little gII (he is 4 years old). Before one of the races he looks at me with a straight face all business like and says "I am going to take you down. Down to chinatown."
For the record, I finished 1st and he finished 12th. Who is taking who to chinatown? biatch.
