Just finished round 1 of clearing my car. There is at least a foot of snow on there.

Don't envy the team who beat us 3-2 in the finals. They're from Des Moines. Fun drive home tonight for them. At least they're happy with the win. Solid, year-around club team. Play really good position and move the puck well. We took too many penalties and all their goals were on the PP.

A buddy of mine was in town this weekend as his kid was playing in a pee wee b1 tournament. I watched Bemidji and Prior Lake. I haven't kept up with the rule changes. No checking? No tag up? Penalty minutes 1:30 versus 2:00? W t h?

The no-checking in pw was passed last year for USA hockey. If you saw the science you'd understand why. Ask Dr. Stewart of Mayo and director of medicine for USA Hockey if you doubt it. I thought there was still tag-up at PW though. Last year they had the 1:30 but this year we went back to 2:00. Reasoning for 1:30 was 2:00 is big a share of time when you are playing 12 minute periods.

Thanks.

I get the changes but just had no idea that they existed.

Just found out I get to drive to Burnsville instead of Fridley tomorrow morning. Eff this place.

Between 18 and 24 inches in my yard, didn't measure it exactly, but it is up to my knees, and I'm pretty tall. At one point I left the 4-wheeler outside for about 30 minutes, and came back to 3 inches on it, I think that was the fastest it was coming down. It seems to have slowed now, I think its almost over.

Already decided that I'm not going to work tomorrow, at least not right away in the morning. The last time I drove to work with the roads like this it took 2 hours to get there, no way am I doing that again. I'll work from home.

By the way, eff you. I couldn't find a single **** thing at the Blaine store when I went there yesterday. I blame you. ;)

I need to make cookies too. All my close friends are getting cookies for Christmas... it's all I can afford.
That is all I have given for years! I figure stuff doesn't mean as much as the time spent together and making the goodies.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #159: Lodge's Attitude Toward Christmas/Holidays

I shoveled my forecasted 4-6 inches about three times.

Only at Lambeau Field would they set the clock to Bar Time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #159: Lodge's Attitude Toward Christmas/Holidays

Made it home. 20 minute delay for maintenance, and a 2-block long cab line at MSP (all my potential rides were snowed in), but other than that? Easy goings. Take that, Delta-haters! :p

Both airports were obviously less busy than normal, due to it being Sunday evening AND the weather here.
