Looks like another lovely Indian Summer day here. So I'll be spending it, of course, in a frikin ice arena! What an ijit. Why the F did I volunteer to help with bantam tryouts????:confused::o:confused::o:mad:

Gray and rainy day here. Not leaving my place. Watching Homeland and then to finish my Emmy diary. No football for me. Hoping to make spaghetti sauce later this afternoon.

Evening all. Babysitting the girlfriends black lab again for a few days. One of her best friends from way back in kindergarten has been in the hospital, and well, the doctors said he can pretty much go at about any time now. So she's over there with his momma to help her out, and he's just kind of happily chilling out here. Onyx is currently zoinked out on the floor in the office here with me.

What a fantastic last few days.. Eric Church was awesome Thursday, had dinner with my parents Friday night in Iowa City, great tailgating weather, an even greater game for the Hawkeyes, dinner with the girlfriend Saturday night in Iowa City, drove to her parents in Fort Dodge today, had dinner with her family, which included steak, squash, cheesy potatoes and a delicious salad. (Here concludes my long run on sentence.)

Off to bed, gotta be on the road early.

Hockey week is here!

I just picked up a pair of tickets to the Feb 08 game of Gophers @ SCSU. I'm shocked that I could get good tickets in the reserved seating section for that game. Ticket sales must really be slumping for me to be able to get those tickets after 11:00PM on a Sunday. Once upon a time, the Gopher games sold out within minutes. I just wanted to catch one last game at the NHC before the real WCHA disbanded, and I was able to pick up a pair of really good seats, much better than I ever thought possible.

Good morning Lodge. Back to work today. Ugh. Looks like les will be wicked busy today starting threads for the thousands of posters who apparently have birthdays today! Just so you know, I'm not one of those. Mine is in three weeks. :)
