Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Another late start... I was trying to get rid of these but I need to get to bed later... Lights out tonight around 10 I think.

Great lake weekend!
I think I've mentioned this here before but we have a family goal of a picture in front of every state capitol building. So far we are bout 1/2 there and looking at our gaps we discovered a few states we would never otherwise visit, so hello IA, KS, OK, & AR!! AKA, the states in which no sane person would vacation!

As a side benefit, this requires you to know the state capitol cities.

If you're late for work, why are you on the internet posting on a message board?

When our kids where in middle & high school social studies classes they not only knew the capital cities but ofter were able to tell the class about the capitol buildings.

The cherry on top for us will be Juneau and Honolulu. :)

G'morning, Loj.

. . . my playlists go from classic rock to thrash metal to punk to hair bands to grunge and back again.
Degeneration is the best album ever!
Throw in some rap, some novelty acts (like Richard Cheese) and some techno (like Lords Of Acid) and that about sums my tastes up.
Beatles, System of a Down, Mumford and Sons, Rush, STP, Motely Crüe, Gotye and Led Zeppelin all played.

WHEW that was some Saturday night. I appreciate all your inputs. I'm not sure what caused the big margarita marathon, but it wasn't dull at least. :o

It must be really hard to have a child become a Texan.

Never ask someone if they're from Texas. If they are, they'll tell you; and if they're not, there's no reason to embarrass them. :D

I'd be up for a re-watch of a matinee next weekend. There are some things I'd like to look at again. Yes, besides Anne Hathaway in the Catsuit. ;)

Might be up for that, though it depends on what the gf and I have planned - it's my last weekend free until September or later.

Their "Countries of the World" song is probably one of the four greatest songs. In human history. Ever!

Afternoon, Lodge. Had an interview today - pretty sure I did awesome. :D I know there are (at least potentially) a lot of other very qualified candidates for the job though, but it was also with my current boss, boss's boss, and another lady who I already interviewed with elsewhere. Here's hoping. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Well, after a flood of emails to the program heads we finally discover my 6 year old's soccer coach quite 2 days before the season started (but quite about 3 days after notified he was officially a coach.) So the program assigns a highschool kid as coach but requires "parent help" to comply with regulations. The organization of this program sucks.

I'm already coaching my other kid's team and my schedule won't let me be there every week. Otherwise I would have done this no problem. The only good experience I've had is with teams I've run. Figured I could take it easy this year after a pretty rough season last time around. Guess I was wrong.

[/rant] Whew, thanks. I feel better now and looking forward to seeing how this kid is going to manage getting caught in the middle of this group of parents. Poor kid, I'll do what I can to help but can't be there all the time.

This. Greatest. Show. Ever.
Personal fav on that show was the "who's on first routine" with Slappy and Skippy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

Tiggsy's kid's coach quite what? Good thing he didn't quit. That would be a real problem.

*sigh*

So are you the grammar police or the spelling police? :p :D

I'd go back and change it but then your post wouldn't make sense. Can't let that happen. :)
