goldy, all of Trust Operations here is on XP. We're not moving to 7 until next year. We have software dependencies that restrict our OS usage right now.

ctf, step away from the computer and get out of the house to do stuff. Or just clean the kitchen. Either way, move away from the computer and get active. You need to exercise more than just your fingers.

GF gets home in 3 days...so I kinda want the week to go as fast as possible.

Clown, I had xp on my laptop a few years back and it had conflicts with several pieces of software I use. It sucked hard.

30+ minutes on the phone with UPS to hold shipments because we shipped the product early. I need more coffee.

I finally got a response from an equipment sales rep in Turkey about our Azerbaijan project. Maybe now I can learn more about what they use over there for their systems.

Yeah, I expected that...I was expecting her to go home for a few days, but I'm glad she is going to be here to spend time with me. Afterall, it was completely her decision, I didn't pressure her one way or the other.

We have a new online diversity class for the company and OH WOW was it horribly awesome! There's this point in the class where a newly formed team was talking for the first time, the manager was Chinese, a Mexican guy, a black woman, and white lesbian were his team. The dialog was just so bad I had tears in my eyes. Then there was another with a group going on a trip and one of the people in the group is wheelchair bound. Somebody ordered extra corn this year! Oh, and as I a white male, I was explicitly told that I'm no longer to be thought of as the Devil, that diversity training has moved past such things in this newly enlightened era. :D

pfft, we are TOO the devil(s)!!! Those folks in your company are mistaken. They clearly need retraining.

I have to take a diversity course online as well. Seeing as I work for the government, I can only imagine how informative and entertaining this is going to be.

I had to take a "generational differences" training. If you know me, you know generational stereotypes are one of my berserk buttons because they always have a field day slamming the Millennials every darn time on them.

It posited among other things:

- my generation does not know what shag carpeting was
- my generation does not know what the songs "Little Deuce Coupe" and "409" by the Beach Boys refer to

Remember, if you're born after 1981 you're automatically a spoiled brat with a sense of entitlement who got participation trophies for everything growing up and you won't read anything unless it's posted on Facebook and you should probably just kill yourself.

I feel that way about a lot of people, but it doesn't relate to their birth year necessarily. Just general awfulness of people.

At the library. Again. No changes other than I'm going from one set of summer classes to the next set of summer classes. :) Progress though.
