And even if he is imagining them going at it traditional style, why would he be imagining the dude's face. The guy is like a prop, its there, but you most just try to ignore it.

Remember, Brent is the one who was complaining about big screen TV porn once upon a time and how he couldn't help but stare at the giant sack on his screen. I don't know how he goes through life, honestly. First he can't watch big screen porn because he fixates on dudes' junk, and now he can't fantasize about other dudes' girlfriends because for some reason, he also must include their sig others in the fantasy. And to top it off, he's wasting time going on a not-a-date with some hooker for whom he has zero romantic interest.

At what point do we just declare him to be in MNS land?

I saw a 15 yr fixed for 2.75% in the Sunday Strib. Not worrying about it any more as we paid ours off at the end of 2011. Now we have to put that mortgage payment into a private school tuition. :(

Cash out refi and then you can deduct the mortgage interest.

We can deduct it, but we still have to pay it. So we cut the interest by effectively about 1/3. Instead of 3% we pay 2%. Unless I can invest it where I earn more than 2%, how is that any better? :confused:

It all depends on your loan term. 10 years or more? Throw the money in an index fund that mimics the S&P - the odds strongly favor you coming out wayyyyyy ahead on that (and if you don't, that means we've strung together twenty years of next to nothing in the markets which is unprecedented).

Bbdl - yes, that is true - MNS *does* want to get some. However, the fact he hasn't simply gone to Nevada and bought time with a whore throws his judgment into question. Failing that, he could at least fall on a grenade and get some that way. As long as it's a woman unrelated to him and doesn't get preggo / give him some horrid disease, it doesn't really matter who is his first lay. If he wants to raise his standards again after that, fine. He just needs to realize that the higher the standards are, the more likely it is he'll be suffering through lengthy droughts. There's nothing wrong with ****ing an average chick. I don't understand why so many dudes scoff at that.

Congrats to MEUSA's daughter (and to him for getting through that tuition!)!!

Sounds like good things are happening here in the Lodge (for the most part). Always nice to pop in and read that. :)

mel has already been planning on stopping by for a bit. Can't stay out all night, though. I'm dog and house sitting over the weekend; have to make sure the dog gets taken care of.
