Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Shower whiskey? Is this something I need to look up in Urban Dictionary?
No, I don't think we put it into Urban Dictionary. It is quite simple, I just bring a bottle of whiskey into the shower, and take several pulls while showering and then just leave it next to the shampoo. This usually happens on hockey weekends, I think the last time was when we had the hotel in St. Paul for the Frozen 4.

Twist on showerbeer. The theory being, after a long, difficult day, beer tastes best when you've earned it and you're standing under a hot shower. Also applies to any adult beverage of your choice, though the effect is definitely amplified when manual labor is involved.

The shower whiskey doesn't necessarily have to be after the long hard day, like a showerbeer. Its more of a bender weekend kind of thing.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

You have any beers that you want me to bring up for you are the F5?

Nah, got that covered already. The Ohj is in town this weekend. :)

And the last ShowerWhiskey I had was indeed at the F4. bbdl gets out of the shower, I was next in line to use the bathroom. He tells me he left a surprise for me in the bathroom. Ok, that's NOT a good thing to say. Thankfully, the surprise was a bottle of Jack Honey. It was an awesome shower.

And yes, soh, Things That Bounce (usually that is on Thursdays, if they do it) is a good one. I like Signs Full Of WTeFF, also.

Yeah, this game is going pretty much as expected. :( I need to plan something for next weekend as I will, in all probability, not be watching my team play hockey.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

So I am not much of a drinker and when I do consume I prefer whiskey. I have never been much of a beer fan. So tonight on the way home from work I felt like having a beer. Stopped at the liquor store and picked up a six of Blue Moon and Finnegans Blonde Ale. Tried one of each. Not bad. Not sure where these beers rate with you connoisseurs............

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

I goofed up and completely forgot that there is a game on Thursday afternoon for the F5 now. Didn't take Thursday off. Fail fail fail. I am getting really good at this.

Blue Moon is the ghetto Paulaner Hefewiezen. I personally don't like it unless it's from the tap (there is a different, less sweet taste from the tap). Haven't had the Finnegan's blonde yet.

I enjoy blue moon, but only with an orange slice in it ;) I'm by no means a beer connoisseur, atleast compared to some of these other guys in here, but I find it to be a pretty good beer. Never heard of the blonde ale though.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Got home to a pleasant non-surprise, but good nontheless. New Oakley Polarized sunglasses that I bought the other day showed up in the mail, and they are pretty awesome. And even better, the new neat hat was on the doorstep, and it fits perfectly and looks friggin badass. So many details that aren't seen in the pics online! New neat hat will be unveiled at the F5, where the original earned it's moniker.

how long until you take this one off and let some broad wear it in a bar?? one night? two? a week? :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Evening, Lodge. My team is already eliminated, so I'll just stare at Giada's melons, Amanda Freitag's melons, and Nigella's melons...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Holy ****. What a performance!
I have a feeling we'll be talking about this for years.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Outshoot the last place team in your league 14-4 in the 3rd, only to give up the tying goal with 3 to go? Good God.

Playoff hockey...
