Good Morning, Lodge!

After work today, going to collect more Hamm's glasses. 15 glasses is not enough.

God, hockey, family, friends. And not necessarily in that order. Right? ;)
The guy in front of us at the game told a story: He was at a youth summer tourney years back, talking with some parents from the other teams. Someone made a comment "oh its just summer league, we're all just hear to have fun". A dad from Roseau took a quarter out of his pocket, tossed at the guy that made the comment and said "go play pinball in the lobby if you want to have ****ing fun, THIS is HOCKEY!".

There was a huge building fire just south of downtown (across 94 from the Convention Center) as I was coming in to work today. It was just dark enough still that I couldn't tell if it was an apartment complex or not.

The top of the building was a full blaze, and fire fighters were spraying water down from a crane. Pretty dramatic, along with all the blue and red flashing lights and emergency vehicles.

Edit: and here is the link. Was called in at 2 am and I could still see fire at 6:15 am.

Good morning Lodge. Or is it? I hate mornings where a lot of little things go wrong for me. Drove in this morning because BU has a game tonight. Stupid traffic. Got to the lot I usually park in and I usually get there early enough that I don't have to leave my key. No such luck this morning. Walked to the place where I get my corn muffin on Fridays, they were out. Walked into the cafeteria in our building, hardly any muffins left. Walked over to the bagels, about 8 left. It's only 8:45 at this point. And no plain bagels. So, I stnd in line for the grill to get a scrambled egg and toast. Line was loooooong. Order my breakfast, tell rill guy I'd like a side order of white toast. He puts the bread in the toaster and when it comes out, it looks like he never put it in. I said "that's not toasted" and make him put the bread back in. He said some people like it lightly toasted. I get that but barely toasted, hardly even warm toasted is not the same as lightly toasted. I think it defeates the purpose of actually toasting bread. Sheesh.

Oh, and the gold earring I thought might still be on my bureau from yesterday? Was not. So that's the second pair of gold earrings I've lost one of. Going to be expensive to replace now with the price of gold. Not too happy about that.

All I need now is another Code Red issue here at work and I should just not even go to the BU game. Don't have a good feeling. :(

That's right, I got me a couple Hamm's glasses coming my way. Maybe I can grab them next week at the F5.

And Scarlet: things can only get better, right? Well, except when BU loses tonight, of course.

Anyone want to go to the Championship game tomorrow night? I want to go, and I want to go early to check out the Lets Play Hockey Expo. Sauce Hockey is going to be there selling shirts and other cool ****.

Also, MNS, we need to discuss Final 5. I forget if you are planning on me buying your extra ticket again or not. I just want to figure out what my plan is for next week. If you have someone else that wants to go with, feel free to leave me out. If I don't have tickets, I will probably just buy singles for certain games in the upper deck.

Just a note: a buddy and his wife are in town this weekend, and he expressed a desire to see what TK's is all about; heading there tomorrow night. If his wife goes, she'll DD, since she's preggo.

And for the F5, you would be on the limited guest list for Chez Rube, if you'd like. MNS and I were talking about me DDing on Thu, and him on Fri, given those are the most likely days that the non-DDers' teams play.

I think I'm staying in this weekend, but if I end up going to the game Saturday night maybe I'd stop by and say hi instead of going straight home after the game. For the Final 5, I am planning on not drinking on Thursday, but probably going to the game, and then coming back home right after, since I work Friday. Friday night I would be up for going out and crashing at the Chez, and then if we're doing Johnny Holm Saturday, I'd probably be up for that also.

You think I AIN'T going to Johnny Holm...on St Pat's Day...at a place 10 minutes from Chez Rube? ;) I'll probably show up around 6-6:30, just so I can get a seat at the bar (hopefully) and get some dinner there, too.
