Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 141: We Didn't Start The (* Hockey Table On) Fire

Really? It was only 0 this morning, did you tell her that it gets much, much colder than this?

I'll let her figure it out. :D

Still haven't zipped the outer liner back onto my winter coat, I'm doing fine.

Ah, the assist part not so much. That center is really good with the puck, fast, energetic, very good player, but head down and rarely passes. If he'd pick his head up and pass sooner he'd be twice the player he is. He's coaches son and coach is well aware of it. He's a second year and still on C, that's why. Sad realy.

Gotcha. Shame indeed, because if he keeps his head that far down, another player is going to remind him why he should keep it up.

:D

Also, that is awesome. Amazing what a line change can do (along with a skilled assist.)

Isn't that "grip it and rip it" ;)? Not that I'm good at doing either in golf, and the only long balls I hit on the links are usually purely accidental. :o

Morning, Lodge. It's amusing to live with a southern(ish) girl who complains about Minnesota weather - almost makes me forget how cold it is. :D

Man, I am just off this week!!! I have one last final at 2:45 and then I'm finally done. It's been a long, grueling week. Looking forward to getting some time off; It won't be this weekend though, as I have to ref nine games in three days.:p

Good morning, Lodge!

Today is a brand new day; let's make cookies!
Just made 3 batches of chocolate treasures, working on peanut butter- screwed up the recipe so meh, and next is sugar cookies- rolled really thin.

Morning Lodge.

Sorry Bob. :(

les, Congrats to 'lil! Isin't he just a soph? Pretty cool to be MVP and all conf for a younger runner!

So Chickens, if that's what you rdaughter got for you, are you getting her a new bowling ball for her b'day? One in your wieght, pre-drilled for your hand? ;)

Jr's team won 6-0 last night, no big deal considering the opponent, but they juggled the lines and a kid who has rarely ever scored in his playing career got a hat trick. Pure one in fact, in a row, same period. Put him with the fastest center had him go to the net and bang in rebounds. Worked.
I love watching how excited the kids who don't score get when they finally have success.

and yes- sophmore. :D All those hockey players that told him he sucked, well :p

I've started clock watching. This is going to make these last 2 hours drag on forever.

Also, who schedules meetings for the last 30 min of the day on a Friday?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 141: We Didn't Start The (* Hockey Table On) Fire

***holes, that's who. I usually deline them.

Hope they enjoy the 7am meetings that I'll schedule for the Monday after they get back from a vacation.

i'm done studying, **** it. i take the test in less than an hour and i have absolutely zero focus.

I didn't study right up to exams. Didn't help me. I did my best when I was in a good mood, so I would always be sure to do something that would cheer me up. Pretty easy to do if you have a really awesome girlfriend. :D

Test prep. So that's what the kids are calling it these days...

F* F* F* F* F* F* F* F* F* F*.

I'd like to thank work for not letting me know that the "I have to leave at (x) time (as long as it's at least the end of a normal shift)" is no longer guaranteed to be applicable for the rest of the year. I found that out this morning, after I had some tentative plans. So, it's basically forced OT without an actual announcement about forced OT. Just got home a couple minutes ago. Missed the first period of MN-MTU.

Then, on the little downhill entrance to my parking garage, I am jussssst about to the door, door is open, and another car decides he's going to exit, squeezing through the smallest of spaces between me and the curb, despite me not being able to back up, because I'm on ICE. Not snow, not pavement, but ICE. I tried to back up, that's how I know, and I couldn't move forward because I would have hit this jackarse.

Finally, I think I caught something from a co-worker. Sinuses are all effed up.

So, F everything. Burn it all. I actually hit Mankato Meltdown status at exactly 6:01pm when I was told I couldn't leave work yet. And it went downhill from there.
