Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

My daughter gets her new aid (right ear) in a week or so & cochlear implant surgery for her left ear is scheduled for 12/19!
For those of you keeping score at home, we are going with the Cochlear Nuclear brands. :)

SO cool that she can do this!

So far Scarlet's dinner sounds best (I had turkey tenderloin, salad and mashed potatoes).

I had a martinit. And a glass of chardonnay. And some bolognese. Yummy.

She gets my vote too.

I almost set myself on fire today in class; I picked up a side towel so I could grab a pan, and then the towel caught fire. After stomping it out, I threw the towel away and picked up another one. That towel caught fire too. Later on, added parcooked carrots and broccoli to the saute pan, and the wet vegetables caused a flare-up. I like fire, but this is ridiculous...

Leftover chili. The only food that gets better with age.

ANd don't say cheese. Old cheese smells like someone used a dirty sock to wipe their ***.

Or wake up in the wee hours of the morning to spread rep.

I wasn't paying attention and accidently repped the person that was the rep target for the next day. I repped a bunch of people and used up 19 of my 20 reps the next day and then got in the last rep on the target. Whew! FS23 would have cut me from the team if I messed it up. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

So I'm looking at getting a big screen tv for black friday/cyber monday. Trying to choose between 46 and 55 inch, likely going LED, but trying to figure out if 3D is worth the extra price or not. Anybody else have experience with 3D and LED? What are your thoughts about it?
I think LED is worth it, just my opinion. And I think they're supposed to have a longer life than LCD, which is a longer life than plasma.

I'm not a fan of 3D and therefore don't think the option is worth the money. My brother has 3D and loves it, but my eyes strain when watching it.

I'll love 3D when you don't have to wear the stupid glasses (having never experience 3D tvs). Plus, that price will drop heavily over the next 2-3 years. Heavily. My current TV 3 years ago was $1100 on sale (42" plasma). Now? I think I saw it for about $500 or so in the last month.

And St Clown, your fanbase is funny. ;)

The only reason I attended that school is because I wasn't smart enough to get into a better school.

I skim that thread at the very most. In years past, the chip on our shoulders grows a chip on its shoulders. "Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!" doesn't even describe it with some of those guys. Last year or the year prior one guys was being a complete jack * in the score update thread (offensive without the funny), and I told him off. Another SCSU fan neg reps me, telling me to stop being an *. Meanwhile about 10 other reps arrived from fans of other schools giving me the thumbs up. I planned on going in that thread tomorrow night. I've not had time to spend on it since Monday.

Don't bother until late tomorrow.

DL is obsessing over MN fans not contributing although he doesn't contribute, everyone hates the Commie, most hate me despite my late insight, LWB ridiculed her own fans by proxy, and FTLT is night and day on posts. Don't read back unless you like pain.

Bigmrg: re your rep, we have one already pre ordered for next year.
Sweet Jesus is that thing going to be a Beast! Saw the demo tapes of it on YouTube and it's no wonder why they referring it as the Hulk.

Only reason why that thing won't totally take over harvesting is that there's still going to be a lot of fields where having a 45 foot head on a combine isn't going to be practical.
