Good morning Lodge.

Omlettes for breakfast this morning (wild rice, onion, green pepper, mushroom, cheese and bacon).

After the Vikings destroy Oakland, little g has practice as his team either has practice or a game every Sunday through March.

Flipping a coin for OC today. Am ultra-lazy this morning, but I do have $10 credit there, which will get me a beer, mini-pizza, and wings.

Still smiling about last night's Gopher game, though.

Morning Lodge.

Boy the stupid level of some of the JBSU fans in the game thread reached epic proportions this weekend. Even some normally level headed ones, like Euro were un****ing-believable in their stupid level. Some of their newbie fans exceeded that level ...... by a lot.

In other news the MNDOT really shat the bed yesterday in dealing with the first (minor) snowfall of the season. I know we weren't supposed to get as much as we got, but still, when it is clear at midday that we're going to get a significant amount, how 'bout you get some sanding trucks out on the highways so they don't all turn into packed ice skating rinks? Glad jr and I left real early to get over and eat before the game as traffic was crawling all over the main highways and worse on city streets.

Happy snow day. It will be 50 by Thanksgiving though. heh.

2-day work week and then I am off to Atlanta.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Typical New York State: One day, I have a sweatshirt on and am brushing snow off the TrailBlazer. Next day, t-shirt and shorts.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Hi.

3 day workweek this week, then 11 days off. And I need each and every one of them.

Last night wasn't an issue. Friday, OTOH, was an entirely different matter. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Just got back from the mall where I picked up my new glasses. They're a bit larger than I'm accustomed to wearing, but I got the ultra light lenses and a half-frame to go with them.

While I was there I stopped by the Sprint store and bought a new phone. The relationship I'd been having with Android had been tenuous for a while, and now it start withholding text (and email), so I dumped it in favor of a younger, slimmer model - an iPhone 4. It was $100 for the 8GB model, and I'm not a guy who needs the latest and greatest.

Unfortunately, because I had Boost Ghetto Mobile before, part of the Sprint network, I couldn't port over my old number. I'm going to have to take some time and update a whole crap load of people and companies about my new number. Ay ay ay, no me gusta!

So, I think I'm going to ask for a new color laser printer for Xmas. Does anyone have any recommendations of a decent one under a $100? I have a Dell laptop.

I don't have a recommendation for a printer, as such, but you may want to look at toner prices and go from there. Black isn't so bad, but colors can be pricey.

Dude, it's not even Thanksgiving. Should be allowed to have your tree up till after then.

I usually have it up earlier than this... I've always been the family elf.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Last year, I didn't have a tree. This year, I'm putting up the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
