Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

Good afternoon Lodge.

Regarding the poll.......If I was leader of the world Raisinets would be banned.

I am looking forward to taking the boys out trick or treating this evening. Little g is going to be a nasty looking ghost and little gII is going as a pirate.

Fun story from this past weekend. Saturday evening after dinner and right as the sun was going down the g family decided to have a bonfire in the back yard. We ate smores and I lit off some fireworks. Little g and little gII each had their own flashlight and they thought they were pretty cool. We played hide and seek and after that we led each other around the yard on walks telling spooky stories. Lastly, both boys drove around the yard in their four wheeler and 4WD truck causing chaos. All in all we played outside in the dark for nearly 2.5 hours. The rest of the weekend all little g and little gII talked about was playing with dad in the dark and how much fun they had. To sum up, in ten or fifteen or twenty years from now my boys will not remember all the stuff they had to play with but they will more than likely remember the memory that was created on some random Saturday evening.

So gmann, when is the TTP for the NSC Stars? Given the tight budget for the Lynx parade, there should be plenty of funds left for the Stars.

ETA: So I missed something, why is bb eating 16 year old "cake"?

I got a piece of pumpkin cake with my lunch from the local deli/sandwich shop, and the expiration date was from 1995. I ate it anyway. (it was obvious that it was a typo)

So apparently on Saturday I let loose a string of expletives that was NOT appreciated by my neighbor as it was clearly audible her two young children. So now my landlord is putting me on "probation" and that if I have any more complaints I will not be allowed to renew my lease.

Basketball (especially the girly kind) is a fringe sport that barely makes it onto the budget. Soccer, doesn't even make it past the consideration stage to even be considered to make it on the fringe sport list. ;)

The Wal-Mart at Tech would sell bags of plastic Easter basket grass after Easter for six cents. Do the math. Think of the possibilities.

We got next years holiday schedule for work today, whoever came up with that needs to be shot, have off January 2nd and then dont get another holiday till Memorial Day, looks like I'm using a bunch of vacation in February-April.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

I just got a call from a pollster on my personal cell phone.

Is this legal?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

Those stupid candies that were wrapped in black or orange wrappers sucked. WTeFF were those? Horrible, horrible.

No one ever actually eats them, they are just recycled every year and most date back to the 1950s.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

So I'm watching the local news and MN has some soccer team named the Stars that won some sort of title. Who knew? Weren't they called something else?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 139: The Halloween Edition

Well, that is a complete fail. I sure as hell went out in '91, and that was worse that anything you guys got this weekend, and it happened on Halloween, not 2 days before.

THis. It was up over my waist and I still made it. Record haul.

Did anyone notice if thread #138 was the first thread to be closed which started after Board reinstituted the 1000 reply limit?

"TRP: Summer Come Now" was the first to be locked (at least among the cafe and Div 1

About 150 kids for TOT. A bag and a half left of candy out of 10. I scared the living twatwater out of a little kid who was trash-talking her dad about how she was going to punch someone if they jumped up and scared her. Right then as she turned around to ask for candy, I jumped up out of my chair and hit her with a quick "BAAHH!!!". Her dad just about choked to death laughing.

That is pretty normal when you work for a company and not the government. This will be my 4th year with my company and never have had a holiday between New Years Day and Memorial Day.

We have a soccer team? Huh. I only pay attention to sports that matter.
