Forget the * hockey table, where's the suicidal hockey table? You'll find me there with a bottle of tequila and jack. And I hate jack.

Gave up a 2 goal lead in the 3rd, let them tie it with 9 ticks remaining, then win it 14 seconds into OT. We might go 0-fer fall semester. **** **** ****.

HHT as well.

That might have been the most eventful intersquad scrimmage I've ever witnessed. First it's delayed 30 minutes due to a power outage. Then, during warmups, a player shatters the glass, so we spend about 40 minutes cleaning that up. Then during intermission we have the skills competition, and one player goes 102-101 on the hardest shot. This is Division III, mind you. And somewhere in the middle of the 1st period I found myself serving as one of the goal judges, sitting in the little box for the 2nd half of the game.

Yikes. I am the one sitting in stunned silence at the HHT. Sweep on the first weekend hasn't happened since before Lil was born. :eek:

PS, I think the world might be working in reverse. All the 'non-stellar teams' are pulling it out :p

I believe the DCLS people would still be under the lab's jurisdiction. Specifically, they'd be representatives of the lab with regard to the doctors. Rather than techs giving informal advice on testing/results (which is more or less what happens now, at least where I work), this would be a formal position/role to provide that input. Obviously, it's impossible to know at this point exactly how it would play out - as that really depends on how the hospitals themselves determine how expansive this role should be / how much authority to give as well as the nature of the individual in that role. If they make it more of an education/support role, it could make a world of difference. Of course, if you have really bad administrators, they might instead opt to go with a bean counter role, in which case it would be bad for everybody.

I also believe this degree will eventually become a mandatory qualification for lab directors / department heads.

Make room for me at the HHT! Almost blew a 4-goal lead but hung on to win. Had a great dinner with Puck Swami - he says hello! After the game in the FOH lounge I met Ken Baumgartner. Anyone remember him?

I literally started singing the Battle Hymn Of The Republic after the win. Did a happy dance. Grinning ear to ear. So. *ing. Pumped.

I'm withholding judgement on Tech until at least game 6 is over. They tricked everyone last year too!
