Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning Lodge.

Back in the office this AM. Done with Iowa for a while but going to 'Sconny this week (La Crosse) for another conference and trade show. I've given away a whole lot of pens and highlighters lately....

I have to go to 'sconny next week, well, just Monday, but I'll still have to be there. I'm actually going on Saturday for a concert and staying in Green Bay to work on Monday. Then Monday night I'm driving up to Houghton for 3-4 days of recruiting and interviewing new-hire candidates.

3 day week, then off to Denver for a mini-vacation/wedding. As for the vacation part, I need it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Checking in to start the week. Had a lovely "pile" Sunday (as Brent would put it). Sat around, watched football, ate, slept, played with 2 puppies that we're house-sitting. Fantastic way to spend a day after another long week. Now it's back to the grind...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I got word this morning that I won't have to work this coming saturday. Thank god! I get to go home and won't miss duck hunting opener for the first time ever since I started going with my dad when I was 8.

If it's anything like the NES game, please shoot the dog repeatedly. :p

Woo! Class until 10:15 tonight and just found out I have the 9am - 11pm shift tomorrow on the ambulance, followed by class w/exam from 5-8:15 on Wednesday. This week is shaping up nicely. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Work called back while I was studying, so I called them back at lunch. They want me 7am - 9pm instead. I can't decide if that's actually an improvement.
And then I made the mistake of calling my mom (whom I am very close with) and got the update on my sister's situation with her (now) former fiance. :( :( The worst part is trying to shove all that stress back in the corner and focus on school work because it's the most important stress (until 10:15 tonight).

Can you do anything about it now? If no then make a deal with yourself to think about it in an hour. Ask the same question then. repeat. When I was in school I became amazingly callous and the world went on without me and pretty much without noticing.

And I have a new stress. My car battery died and the idiot public safety officer on campus put the jumper cables on backward.
