Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

These. Yes.

bb_dl: I might not be there for a dinner part, I'm meeting up with a friend from Northern. Maybe I can talk her and her boyfriend in to joining us there, but I don't know if TK's is their kind of place.
No problem.

And MNS is partially right. If people like the bar/drinking scene they will like TK's because it is just a fun time, whether you like the music or not, as Brent is proof of. But if you aren't into going out, and don't like loud music then you won't like it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I guess it depends on how you interpret "my kinda place". For me, anyplace I go and I have a fun time is my kinda place. Hell, Bootleggers plays music that makes me want to decapitate babies, but since I have fun there, I would say it is my kinda place.

Cookies baked. Choc Zuke cake in the oven. Lil back home (2nd man after his buddy, ahead of all the upperclassmen except the one who wasn't there), has picked beans and is now on the summer project (heh), now for more laundry, cleaning etc. I am ready for bed already.
I'm coming over.

Good afternoon, Lodge. Refrigerator emptied out, bacon-chocolate cookie dough made, laundry downstairs and sorted, and the coffee pot is empty. I should make another pot...

I meant (and NO ONE picked up on it), that if even you were going to make the effort to go out with them, maybe I'd join you all. Except for the fact tht I live 1000 miles or so away. Sheesh. I suppose I could go to TK's here in Massachusetts and sort of be there with all of you.

I actually figured that was what you meant, but I thought I could have more fun with it by taking it the other way. :p;)

ETA: BTW, I had hot turkey sandwich for lunch at TK's and our waitress was not particularly hot (although the chick who carried most of our food out to us was).

1000 miles really isn't that far

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I assume you get paid based on how many clients you serve? So does this hurt your bottom line?
Yep. I only get a cut of each massage, plus tips. But no worries. Chris was bored as well and decided that she wanted a massage anyways, and since I've already done a trade this month, I get paid for that. And some other lady called and wanted one as well, so I at least did ok today. Right now just waiting on the GF to show up here as we're both going up to Grand Rapids tonight for some shenanigans.

I do have to wonder just how many Miami fans I just made go check Wikipedia with that one crack there. :D;)

Oh yeah, be sure to start that thread sometime soon over on the tPB ya hoser!!

Got a call from some Commission for the Blind at 4:30 in the morning AK time. They had a 517 area code, so they must be lower MI folk. Hammer or Monster, go kick their ***.

Yes, I still have a Saginaw number. I'm on a family plan with my mom and sister because it's an awesome deal.

I've been happy that outside of a wrong number in 2007 I haven't gotten any pointless local calls... Of course the random Maryland ones are kinda weird.

How was the sandwich? I try to get something different every time I go there to eat. About the only disappointment was the burrito. It was okay, but not even close to spicy. I think some ketchup coulda made it spicier. :(

Still waiting for the mound'o'meatloaf/bacon/cheese/mashed potatoes. It's only a random weekly special, though. :( Their steaks are pretty *ing good, too.
