Resumes aren't necessarily a bad idea in this case. I'm assuming that your boss is essentially looking for 18+ year olds who can speak and act intelligently enough to make a sale, and in this economy you're going to get a lot of yayhoos walking through the door. If they can't be bothered to produce an employment history and/or a few references, you can weed them out right away without scheduling an interview.

This.

Just came l l close to seeing a 20-30 barge tow lose their steering and crash. Thing is probably pushing/over 1000 feet long. It got my adrenaline pumping, I can't imagine how the guy steering that boat was feeling. He saved it though, excellent job by him, wow.
How bad would have it been if he lost it???

Also, those that want a good laugh, go to the Tech thread, to see the image I posted for Twitch there. :D

well, he didn't have red flag barges, luckily (chemicals/black oil) but rather open dry cargo barges. So it wouldn't have been a major pollution hazard, but it wouldn't have been pretty, that's for sure.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! thursday is not friday

I hate the new advanced option- you can't change size and color at the same time. Why do I need to do it as 2 actions?

Happy Friday (for me)!

Why are you so lazy? :p The board has been downgrading with this new upgrade. It is annoying.

good morning

Does anyone want to help with some plumbing work? I installed the faucet in the new bathroom last night, but I didn't have everything I needed to connect the water or to connect the drain. The drain is going to be a huge pain, because it doesn't look like there is enough room between the drain and the capped pipe going into the wall.

Morning Lodge.

bb - no. I have my own PITA plumbing project. I need to replace the faucet on my kitchen sink and the sink is so deep that it is going to be very hard to get up at the faucet from underneath those bowls.

Went to watch jr in his skating class this AM. There are some very good skaters of his age out on the ice at that time. Huge difference between A and B2 skaters. Should have signed jr up for this 3 years ago. But it is very pricey.

Good morning Lodge. So very tired this morning. Picked up my brother at the airport in Providence last night. His flight came in at 11:35. I left my place about 10:15 - should have been a smooth, fast ride down there, but due to some construction, I was caught in a an hour long traffic jam. He was off the plane and at baggage claim and I was still on the Southeast Expressway. Was about an hour late picking him up, then had to drive all the way back. I didn't get home till 2am.
