Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning, about to put New Orleans behind us and keep truckin eastward. Had an awesome lightning show for about an hour this am, strikes every 5 seconds or so for a long time it seemed.

Eastbound and down...loaded up and truckin'! We goan' do what they say can't be done! :D

Morning Lodge. At least the windows weren't covered by condensation on the outside today. Dewpoint must be a little lower.
Yeah, it dropped all the way down into the low 70s this morning. :p

Mornin' Loj! Did someone say it was hot?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Cripes it sucks outside. I'll probably lose some weight this week though. Sweatsweatsweatsweatsweat

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Is BPH still on forced furlough? If not I see heat exhaustion with the wool outfit

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

A vodka enema would probably be better than that crap we had yesterday.

I was actually surprised that I was able to sit on the screened porch and enjoy my lunch (cold pasta salad). There was a breeze and the porch is well shaded. So long as I was in the shade and not moving, it was not that bad. Not a good day to be working outside though. Couldn't beleive the contractors working on the house across the street.

LIl is going to be out there next week working on a Reservation. He does not do heat well at all. This is making for a nervous Mama.

Is he still going to Central Lutheran Church? I don't work across the highway from it anymore. What reservation?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

This is going to be a rough week for running, isn't it? I mean, there's no point in waking up to run early when it's still dam hot and humid overnight. I did run to our manager meeting this morning, so I got a bit of a break in the AC before finishing my workout.

Traverse reservation in So Dakota. They are staying at one church and going to the one you mention, I think. They aren't going to SD until Monday.

I saw on the news this morning that ocean temps in downeast Maine were 51, 52 degrees , that'll will bring on the shrinkage

Yeah, Superior in Duluth isn't that bad. Still a brisk 63 degrees though.
