Mornin' Loj! Exhausted from an excursion to the Finger Lakes region for a mini wine tour and a family reunion. Was also able to avoid the whirring vortex of suck eminating from the south end of Cayuga Lake.

You may have a Facebook account if you are under 13, but it has to be through a parent/guardian, and not just created by them. My niece has one.

My cousin's 10 year old son sent me a friend request. I'm glad it's going through them as I don't want to have to temper my language for fear of what a child will see.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how it works. I know the child can create it, but there is some parental permission involved. I'm not sure exactly how it works because, well, I'm over 13. ;)

It is not recommended and as far as psych/ pediatritian recommendations is very strongly discouraged. I was under the impression the kids were not supposed to be on no matter what until 13. Then of course one of my friend's dogs has a page :p.

Parents just start it and let the kids go. I would watch yourself. In my experience the parents are rarely around when the kid is on and even if they are, they don't proof read it first.

I'm not watching myself at all. I don't go crazy anyway, but there is a random occasion where an expletive might fly. If they're concerned, they should not have him have a page.

Does anyone else think did we should start a new thread when the current thread reaches 1000 replies even if Board doesn't close the thread? I am getting tired of the current poll (pole). :)

My brother and sister-in-law are definitely around, in fact, I almost got my niece in trouble by friending her. She's only supposed to friend other kids she knows, but they decided to make an exception for family members.

I move that when a Lodge poll (pole, pohl) reaches 1,000 posts, a new one is created.
