Had one pre-F4 (Tue before). Just over an 1.5 inches thick, IIRC, and just that first layer was seared, the rest was virgin pink. And covered in green peppercorn. It was phenomenal.

That almost makes up for the one at the F5 you didn't eat.

And speaking of steaks, I could really go for one from Michael's in Rochester, MN. They know how to blacken a steak.

I'd allow it. Steak is a meal. Bacon is like a dessert. In fact, a nice steak dinner with an amber beer followed by a bacon dessert with some whiskey would be grand.
