Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

And they just called my reservation at the offseason * hockey table.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Put me at the happy hockey table. Sending shots to those whose season has ended.

And in the Irish Wake tradition, I'm giving a toast to Minnesota.

Nothing is given. Nothing is guaranteed. Everything in this league must be earned. Every win is a treasure. And every team has opportunity. Minnesota learned the hard way tonight. Is their fanbase arrogant? Hell yeah. It's why we love them. Do their players have lapses in judgment? Every one of us does. Minnesota is a fine program, one of the best. Some have said it's the greatest program in hockey history. Tonight though, Alaska-Anchorage proved that name alone cannot get you to the next level. As we say goodbye to Minnesota for the season, we remember the good times. The drinking of Long Island Jeff, the Final Five victory over North Dakota. Minnesota will be back.

The Cadillac stood by the house
And the yanks they were within
And the tinker boys they hissed advice
'Hot-wire her with a pin'
Then we turned and shook as we had a look
In the room where the dead man lay
So big Jim Dwyer made his last trip
To the shores where his father's laid

And fifteen minutes later
We had our first taste of whiskey
There was uncles giving lectures
On ancient Irish history
The men all started telling jokes
And the women they got frisky
BY five o'clock in the evening
Every bastard there was pisky

Fare thee well going away
There's nothing left to say
Farewell to New York City boys
To Boston and PA
He took them out
With a well-aimed clout
He was often heard to say
I'm a free born man of the USA!!!

*does a shot of Jameson*

Because my wisdom teeth are in, they are going to numb the area and yank them out. I asked about drinking alcohol that night and they said, 2-3 beers you should be fine. Then I told them it was me and they said a 6-pack.

...and they didn't try to refer you to your local AA chapter? ;)

Oh wait, it's Wisconsin. :D

Good Morning Lodge.

Back to the * Hockey Table because RPI sank to 16 in PWR. We were at 13 for a while on Saturday.

If I was sitting at the *table (which I am not because now I have Mr. back for the spring-sort of) I would kick you outta there- if you are still viable then you celebrate!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday. day of rest

Good morning Lodge.

bil is stopping over this morning to "make things right". This will be interesting..............Not!

I have spent a good chunk of the morning trying to re work my schedule for this week as I am trying to find a way to get to the X and the Final Five this week. Not looking good.

you should show him your new over/under shotgun. I bet he'd love to see it. :D

And yeah, you need to come down for the F5.

Maybe I should just wait and got to the X in a couple weeks to watch my team play.

I bet that will be 'interesting'. Wonder why he suddenly needs to make things right. My bet is he hits you guys up for money to fund his 'new' life while he gets on his feet. Do I get more rice if I am right :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Still sitting at the * hockey table, composing my carefully worded letter to Gopher AD Maturi about how this 20 year season ticket holder feels there needs to be a change in direction for the program.

gmann,
Best of luck to the Beavs this weekend, but I really wouldn't count on them coming back to the X after this weekend.

On a happier note, District championchip game at noon today.

Money has not and won't be the issue. Back in early December he made some nasty comments. If I had to guess I would say that he is ready to make his apology (about 90 days after the fact). If you want more wild rice you don't have to be right. You just have to ask.....

Anger has left me. Sadness is what is remains. No more college hockey to care about.

Morning, Lodge. Hooray for a 3 day work week! Then it's time to see friends I haven't seen in a while.

IMHO (and please MN fans don't take offense as I call it how I see it) Last week when MN was at BSU I witnessed a very uninspired hockey team in that of the Gophers. MN was undisciplined and they were a team that time and time again failed to execute basic hockey fundamentals. Furthermore, I was not impressed with Lucia. The product on the ice mirrors the guy behind the bench. What a sad state of affairs for such a talented group of young men and a program such as the U of MN. I spent some time with a couple parents of U of MN players as well. They did not have kind things to say about the direction of the program. Last night while watching the UAA game I could not help but notice how many open seat there were. Some changes need to be made within the program but I honestly don't think anything will be done in the short term. Good luck with that letter though.

End of serious hockey talk from me in the Lodge.........

Regarding BSU playing at the X after next weekend. I have a warehouse full of ttp that begs to differ. :D

Good luck with the game today.
