Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Hi. Saw the big ice fishing tournament up there is rolling all the prizes over to next year since the fish caught totaled 0. Vacation wonderland up there, eh? :p

Welcome to my world. I have spent more time than I want to admit working on this the last few days. $61,000.00 in cash prizes to give away. 2200 hooks in the water and not one fish was caught. What are the odds! I wonder if setting up the ice fishing tournament on the local hockey rink had anything to do with it? :D

So you put Sven and Olie in charge?

On another note, I'm going to bb_dl's favorite spot (TK's) for lunch today. I hope they let me in, as I own neither ****er boots nor cowboy hat. One of the guys I have lunch with on a semi-regular basis picked the spot.

Don't worry, if they let Brent in, they'll let anyone in.

Can you bring your wife but call her your sister? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

First drink's on me if you join us!

Ok, if mel's in, I'm in. Don't want TK's, but if that's what it takes...
I don't care where we go, I just want to partake in some shenanigans.

!!!

Will you still be in town on Sunday? We're headed down to the cities that day.
Yeah... currently scheduled to head back Monday, but may end up extending the stay. My sister wanted me home - she's having her gall bladder removed Tuesday.

I didn't really have anything in mind, I just want to get out and have fun this weekend. We don't have to go to TK's, the band there on Saturday doesn't interest me anyway. Lets just pick a place and all go there, if you want to pre drink at my place, thats fine, but its way out of the way for most people.

and JF, we don't really know what kind of stories will be the result, they just kind of happen without planning.
I'm down for whatever.

Found out they rent boots and hats at the door, but didn't need them in the daytime. I understand some of attraction, especially since Hooters downtown closed.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

So you met the Whiskey Girls? :D

I don't think so, but I'd be surprised if they don't face some discrimination in hiring lawsuits from some fat and unattractive women. All waitstaff were young and slender with short cutoffs and tight shirts. Hostesses were better looking.

I ordered an iced tea. After tasting it I said, "I'm sorry, I wanted unsweetened" she said "it is unsweetened." I thought I'd have a diabetes attack after one sip. I'd hate to have their sweet tea! Waitress was blond so maybe it was a communication breakdown. ;)

They call all of the waitresses and bartenders "Whiskey Girls", its from the Toby Keith song. The Whiskey Girls are usually pretty nice to look at, especially at night when they climb on the bar and start pouring liquor down peoples throats. The have to bend over a long way to get the bottle down to peoples mouths, so you get a **** good show, no matter which side you get to see. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

I have a 63,400 x AP excel spreadsheet to process before the end of the day. Oh joy. Where is Ralph when you need him!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

No pictures, but there are plenty of witnesses that post here that will confirm my statement. MNS, State of Hockey, Shirtless Guy...hell maybe even brent or dx would. :p

and for the saturday night boozefest, which is inevitable at this point, we need suggestions on where to go. At least narrow down the general area. Downtown, St. Paul, Uptown, BFE(by my house), somewhere in the 'burbs, a little basement bar in NE Minneapolis on University with a German sounding name, etc.

I wonder where he is too. :p

With the temperature going to 64 tomorrow and 72 on Friday, I know what I will be doing on one of the days, probably Friday. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

So, we're apparently heading down on Saturday, and we're staying in Minnetonka. So, if there's room for 2 more on this adventure, we'd be up for it.

My spreadsheets might even blow your mind. Monitoring about 50 engine parameters, data taken every 20 milliseconds, I let it run for several hours today, I'd guess around 4-5 hours. I have to dice it up into little pieces and make graphs out of it, so it makes sense, instead of being 800 billion numbers. Excel just crashed on me, that is why I came back to the boards, I hadn't gotten 5 minutes into it before excel said "eff this".

There's always room. We'll let you guys know the details, once we actually figure them out ourselves.

Yowza. Any automatic calculations will kill Excel at that point.
