Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

New thread already!

I just got off the phone with my realtor, he is going to get information on a farm back home that my dad wants me to buy. It looks like I can pull it off and it will be a good investment so I have to at least look into it. Hundred acres tillable and no buildings, just land.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

My furnace has just died. THis is not good. It is cold. It is going to get colder. We can not find anyone who will call us back to fix the furnace. Not a good way to start the week.

Not multi-choice, not public. I think this poll is the worst thing about winter.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

And my weekend, while starting with a seat at the Happy Hockey Table, ends with a big sloppy turd. From what I've gathered from others, and the sight of it, I think I have some possibly severe water damage inside my exterior wall to my apt. Wonderful.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Well... the days are starting to get longer!

The worst part about this winter, is shoveling my mother-in-laws driveway... its one of those narrow long things, in an old downtown area, sandwiched between 2 attached half houses, so you litterally have to take a shovelfull, walk it down to the end of the driveway, then perch it on top of the 6 foot tall snowbank that sits between the narrow sidewalk and the narrow one way street. Ugh.

Morning!

Storm of the century as I woke up this morning. Possibility of up to 4 INCHES! They may shut down the city!

Oh wait, no they wont. Nevermind.

ETA: Don't look now, but #1 Yale lost to both Union and RPI this weekend. I couldn't be happier. :D

Me too, at least about the second part.

In case you also think that the ECAC women's leader is overrated, take a long at the last picture her http://blog.syracuse.com/sports/2011/01/farm_tough_on_ivy_ice_twins_br.html. ;)

Just remember Carl lost in the end...

Good Morning Lodge. I wish I could take a ski/mental health day today. While it wasn't a lot of snow it was as close to powder as we get here in the midwest and it should be a nice day with continuing snow all day. Light fluffy snow.
