Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Congrats to Lil! And to you too, for all the preparation you most likely did. :)
Massage scheduled for tomorrow. Stiff from being in the kitchen for 10 or so hours yeaterday but everything went awesome. Could have another party with the food I still have (only a little one :))

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

GOOD EVENING EVERYONE!! sunday. day of rest?

Lil is confirmed. Our family, which sometimes doesn't come thru for things filled 3 pews. (My Dad and Mum, both confirmed church avoiders) took communion at the same rail  Luncheon was a success with 21 not including us. Lil asked for $ to be donated for the mission trip group he is going on to So. Dakota this summer instead of gifts. Folks gave >500 dollars toward the trip. Almost enough to totally finance one kid. Way awesome. His Godmum is paying for his trip so the $ will go toward the people that are having trouble affording it. Sometimes he really is an awesome kid.

Hey Lewis, Just out of curiosity is it to the Pine Ridge reservation, Lakota Indians?

Pity you're not a bit closer to me, just got thru the stone massage class today. I need to find a few bodies to do some practice on. ;)

THis is a big pity. I have nerve entrapment that flares when I do too much looking down- as in food prep. I have a great nerve pain headache that could sure feel better with a massage right now!

Spicy sausage and lentil soup and a batch of home made cornbread for dinner at Chez Shot this evening. Have a good night all.;)

ANyone know of where to find recipes from the Lake Traverse Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux tribe or from the Sioux? Lil's group is making a lunch at church that they are going tto try to serve food from the region.

A little background on the people.

I believe this buffalo drink here would be helpful.

Buffalo really is the primary meat they're known to eat. Some deer and other local game. Other dietary staples known would be along the lines of corn and other farming that can be done is climates such as you see around here - potato and beets, likely.

Once again, I should move into your place. I can clean...

Evening, Lodge. Slow day at work, but made up for it by making fried rice tonight to go with leftover fish en papillote.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

I think I got everything packed for my trip to Grand Forks tomorrow. I had to put together all of my tools and dig out every piece of cold weather clothing I own. I'm not looking forward to working outside in Grand Forks for a week. Its going to -20 and I'm working outside, lovely.

Could be worse.
