Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

Good morning from a crisp Denver, Colorado. Hazlenut coffee, bacon, scrambled eggs and cinnamon-swirl coffee cake for breakfast. After that I'm heading to the gym for a workout and then helping Mrs. Shot take down our Christmas Tree and put away our ornaments for the year. We leave a few seasonal decorations in place until later in the month. Have a good day folks. Happy New Year!

A decent, but certainly not spectacular, job by Denver in gaining a win and a tie against NMU this weekend. The Pioneers do not play this coming weekend and head to Mankato--where it's always a challenge for Denver--the week after that. Drew Shore and Jason Zucker should return to the lineup for that series after having concluded their participation in the WJC. Freshman Beau Bennett--who's missed the past four games due to a knee injury suffered against Duluth--may be back in the lineup as well for the Mankato games.:)

I promise to take the MN weather back with me, Shot. Your state was good to me this weekend, so it's the least I can do. :)

Brent, You can leave the weather here for a bit. Winter took its time getting to the Denver metro area this year. The mountains have had plenty of snow, but in Denver it's been warm and dry. I like winter, so the cold, snowy weather doesn't bother me. I'm hoping for lots of snow in the mountains this week as my wife and I and some of her family are heading to Breck next weekend to ski. Hey, it's January in Colorado--it's supposed to be a little cold and snowy.

Glad to hear you had fun in the Springs with your friends. Safe travels home.

Good morning, Mass then breakfast at Bonnie's Cafe with Mrs. Eagle. Boninie's is awesome.

* the Pios and * hockey.

dude, get over it. Seriously. When your coach is just blaming the refs for the tie, you have bigger problems at hand then the Pioneers.

Off to Houston on a day trip. Hooray.

Afternoon,

My last day of vacation today. Very sad. :(

On the upside I did redeem CC reward points for cash. So it'll be nice to get some money back!

I understand that the Cats are the most penalized team in the nation, but when ticky-tack slashings or hookings are called on the Cats while the opponent is free to slash sticks out of their hands, haul them down interfering (which the CCHA claimed to be eliminating years ago) and out right punch players in the face (Note Dame last month), there gets to be a point where you don't know what else to change.

I understand too that the Cats likely got tired Friday night, but how many straight PP's (including 5x3's) did DU get? I don't think the Cats got that lazy.

Back at school for what will be the biggest week of my life. 7 tests separates me from my childhood dream, beginning Tuesday. Also, I'll take a seat at the Happy Hockey Table for a HUGE 2-1 OT win over those kitties from UNH at Lake Whittemore. Feel-good story of the game is Jared Keller coming back after being out since the 1st game of the season with concussion issues, and there was doubt that he would ever play again because he has had several concussions in NCAA.

All of us tried to talk him out of it. We tried to tell him how to do it right. We said, "You don't want to do it in Des Moines, on new years (making the whole evening about those two), while she's drunk as hell." His response, "No, I want her to be drunk."

We gave up at that point.
Oh please at least try to get him a prenup.

Your dream is to drive trains right?

Good luck either way.

I thought it was to master that legendary game played on a 10x10 grid? I had the electronic version... I was too young to make it work.

won 450 bucks playing roulette for an hour and a half tonight, started out with 40, so I walked out up 410. barkeep, first round is on me tonight!

Better than me. Was briefly up 5 bucks this weekend at Casino Windsor, but I had to try blackjack. Only lost $35 to the Canucks. Still ended up having a pretty good time with the gf there. Maroon 5 put on a pretty decent show last night as well.

Yikes... I would like to make an official statement from the "Fans of ECAC Hockey" that we do not agree with the stupidity being shown by some of our members over in D-1. There are several of the smarter fans of ECAC hockey being made to look like clowns by these gongshows right now.

Did it look something like this?
Today, I took a nap for 30mins, and when I woke up I found assorted permanent markers all over my bed. I found out my little sister colored my face to look like a clown. I have to meet my boyfriends parents in 4 hours. FML

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

Finally back home. My COSprings-Den leg was delayed, so they put me on an earlier flight that was delayed that was leaving COSprings closer to my original departure time. Got that? On top of that, out of the 31 people on board, 12 were kids. All under the age of about 7. Uh ohhhhh. However, it was a holiday miracle! Not one peep out of them on the flight! :D

Fun, fun weekend. I'll be stealing/reposting pics on FB over the next day or so. A girl in our group took a ton, thankfully.
