Only 42 and rain here. ick.

Seems like a day for a nap. Lil was up late again last night with another project. He is now down $20 for waiting to the last minute. Yikes. I don't recall being this stupid about school stuff. Pizzes me off because I can't sleep until he is in bed so I know what it costs him. :mad:

Stick with basic strategy playing blackjack. You'll play forever with $100. Also, learn to count cards. Makes the game a hell of a lot more fun. Trust me.

Good morning from Denver, where the weather guessers have promised most of a twenty-four hour reprieve from yesterday's wet snow flurries, before this evening's storm--forecast to leave behind two to five inches of snow--arrives.:)

Or do a little reading and take up Video Poker. That can give you a few hours of entertainment for not much money, too.

In the process of smoking a chicken. Bit of a first test run with the smoker I won at a Halloween costume contest. Seems to be going ok so far, just gotta keep it going. I do think I really need to get one of those charcoal chimmey deals to help get my charcoal going.

The fact that it piissed off his mother might just have made it worthwhile, for some teenage boys. :D

Old-style metal coffee cans work well enough, just cut out the top and bottom, then punch a series of holes around the bottom edge with a church key opener. The main advantage of store-bought ones is added height (better draft, quicker lighting) and more durability - you shouldn't really need the added volume unless you're planning to do some forging in your Weber. :p

Wait...there's Asian women on Hawaii Five-0??? I guess I'm just distracted by the pretty that is Alex O'Loughlin. And the location pron. I need to make it to Hawaii one of these days.

Yeah, I'm thinking the store one will be better because its a smoker, and I'm going to want a bit in there to keep the heat up on it, especially if we do go thru with the plan to smoke a whole turkey in there for Thanksgiving. That and I know I'll still have to feed the thing more charcoal and woodchips. I think its almost ready.

Been there. Singapore or Bangkok is better viewing though. ;)
