Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

Sure. Of course it would turn out to be the most expensive hockey trip in my life, what with the divorce costs and all. Assuming I survived at all.

"Honey, I'm going out east to see some college hockey games. By the way, my traveling companion is a young smokin' hot single chick, but it's OK cause she has a boyfriend.";)
Tell her it's for work instead. Honesty never gets you anywhere! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

Who wants to spend the first week of December traveling to hockey games in New England with me?

Got a rep asking what hockey trips I'm going on, and as of right now, no new rinks. Only place Michigan was playing this year that I hadn't been to was UNH, and well, that didn't work out.

So, I started looking what weekend am I not going to Michigan hockey or football games and discovered the weekend of Dec 3rd. Then discovered a game on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday the following week.

Now I think I need to take a week of work and go to hockey games.

Itinerary:
Friday: if I drive UConn @ Niagara, if I fly probably Merrimack @ Northeastern
Saturday: RIT @ AIC 4 pm, leave at 6:30ish, drive to Amherst UMass-Lowell @ UMass 7 pm
Sunday: Vermont @ UNH
Monday: sleep, sightsee, whatever
Tuesday: Providence @ Brown
Wednesday: Quinnipiac @ Harvard (or Vermont @ Yale)

This trip probably won't happen. But I'm salivating just thinking about it.

Would be a cool fun trip to do, you know, if I like had money.:o:(

Morning, Lodge. Trying to fight off a killer cold and haven't slept through the night in 2 nights. :( And haven't been able to take any time off of work (however, I do have tomorrow off, thank goodness!). I didn't vote in the election because 1) I think I'm still registered in Mass., 2) I don't know how long I'll be residing in NH and I'm not sure that my say should continue to have an influence when I no longer live in the state, and 3) frankly, I thought all the choices sucked (like Brent, attack ads are a real turn-off).

You haven't lived until you've seen an incumbent get bounced in her own primary by a grassroots pseudo-party, then turn around and run as a write-in. It got NASTY up here.

And she won on the write-in. It's going to be epic lulz up here for the next month.

You're going to be here in the area the first week of December and not attempt to see the greatest rivalry in college hockey???? It's BU-BC that weekend!!!! :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

Afternoon, Lodge. Back from Jerseyland - at least I know I canceled out bbdl's vote a week ago. :p

Also: it always seems like whenever I fly into or out of a New York airport, I end up getting to the gate no more than 5 minutes before scheduled departure. Ugh.

If he planned like a Democrat, he'd arrive 10 minutes late and try to get past security without a ticket, because "The government has subsidized air travel, right?".

If he planned like a Republican, he'd show up on time but have paid an arm and leg for his ticket at the last minute, using credit.

If he planned like a Libertarian, he'd pay for his ticket using an ounce of gold.

If he planned like a Green, he'd be cycling back to Minnesota.

If he planned like a Natural Law supporter, he'd levitate back to Minnesota on his own mental energy.

...Or something like that

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

How do I contact Hotmail? Apparently I have one of those bugs/someone hacked into my hotmail account. I've been getting those Delivery Notification Failure emails because thankfully the email addresses in that account are old and out of date. Hotmail's and MSN's we sites were USELESS. What do I do to stop this?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

So apparently I got the house just in time, because Marinette Marine, already one of the largest employers in the area, just got awarded some absurd naval contract for the next 20 years that will create over 1000 jobs

So what you're saying is the tin shack you're paying for just easily jump up in value by about a 1000 or so?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

:D Meh. A couple people from Minnesota were talking about partsgeek.com and Jeeps, and I thought it was Brent.

Oh well. Whoever tipped me off to it then, thanks!

You're welcome. I expect a check in the mail for half the difference saved. I'll email you my address. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 124: End of season: Which hockey table will you be at?

So you voted to raise the tax on beer?!?! Why do you hate beer, you communist?

:D

Because I brew my own now, and there's no tax on the components. ;)

Congrats on the house, btw!

Grilled salmon with a teriyaki-orange zest glaze and baked sweet potatoes for dinner, accompanied by a glass of cabernet sauvignon. Sliced oranges with shredded coconut and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Enjoy your evening LODGEONIANS!:)
