Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

The barometric pressure is at 28.43, which is lower than in the storm which sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald (a record-breaker itself.) Look for some nasty weather today in the Midwest.

Forecasts are calling for 22-27 foot waves on Superior, while Michigan only has 20-25 footers. Suffice to say all the boats are seeking cover and going to anchor. A buddy of mine posted a photo of their anemometer showing 52mph winds, dunno if that was gust or sustained, but it'll push some water around.

Afternoon, lodge. Lost power this afternoon for about an hour, and we're mostly just getting the rain.

No, I was the only one that even went to bat, the other 2 never got off the bench. The other guys that struck out were just other guys at the bar.

I'm already on base, but MNS must be on injured reserve. :p

I'd buy one. As a matter of fact, I might make grilled cheese for dinner.

Morning, Lodge. While it blusters outside (and I don't just mean the politicians), I'll be putting my hard cider into secondary fermentation... and filling a dozen bottles from primary. Gotta make sure the stuff is good quality. :)
:D

Yeah, that would be a bit rough out there with 20 foot waves. I've been out on the Straights of Mackinaw making the crossing with some 5 footers kicking up, and that was pretty rough, and that was in a ferry boat. Don't think they would even bother running there in stuff that rough.

Have had it flicker a few times here. nothing serious. Mostly I've been on the couch this afternoon taking a nap with the dog.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

So I find out that a tornado hit the area this morning while I was already at work. I called my mom when I had the chance and she knew nothing about it. It only touched down about a mile away from my parent's house.

Good luck!! Where are you looking?

Draw a line from Mounds View to Oakdale/Woodbury. Honest to God, Pig's Eye (well, east of it of course) was suggested to me by a completely independent source.

Thanks!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Had a busy and productive day, for the most part.

Heading home again tomorrow afternoon.

MNS: you still in for Friday night? How about Saturday night?
