Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

MN wants an outdoor game really bad (stadium is literally across the street from the arena). WI balked at it, due to it being a conference game. There's been a smattering of ideas of having some sort of outdoor Hockey Day also, but I think that's a sort of grassroots effort/the dreams of fans.

That's about all I've heard. I'd love a triple header for outdoor hockey, though. HS, then Gophers, then Wild. That'd rule.

I wouldn't count on the Wild getting one anytime soon. Consult GLM for more info

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Mr finally woke up and came down with his scalp all scabbed up. I guess some rather vigorous RIT fans went nuts on the glass behind the bench after they scored. The glass shattered and Mr was shredded along with a few others. He ended up putting a towel on his head (would love a pic of that!) so the blood didn't get everywhere. That was a first.

Wouldn't the glass go forward into the bench?

Just finishing up brunch here in allendale. I'll listen to the lions game on the radio and hopefully resist the urge to drive into an overpass. ;-)

Yay, NFL Sunday! It's a new day, it's sunny out, and most of my FFL team(s) are healthy. And I get a free appetizer and a free $10 at OC, because of their various promos. Life is good.

Is it worth going to Oklahoma City? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Um yeah, that's why a coach got hit with it.

the way those glasses are set up, the only way they're falling is onto the bench. although there was a good portion of it on the fan side... a player hit it with his stick. it fell down on them. somehow they shattered their bench too... don't ask me how that happened. and those "scalp injuries" were minor cuts. nothing worth complaining about. they had bandaids on that looked funny.

I think there has been a breach of security at the front gate of the lodge. ???

Mr Z- one guy took stitches and Mr Les ruined a pillowcase by bleeding all over it last night-so I think that qualifies as a bit to whine about. 4 fans were ejected as they were the ones to shatter the glass. The guys that got hurt were leaning on the glass, no player shattered it. Perhaps you should be more knowlegeable before you speak? In another thread you yammer on about people spinning things and UML (we are NOT UMass) not having class. Pretty classless to belittle folks on the staff getting hurt. Maybe you should grow up a bit and realize this isn't a cartoon and when people get hurt it isn't something to be a jerk about.

Considering that the poster Zyklon takes his name from a German pesticide used to kill millions of Jews, it seems that he thinks nothing of being classless.

Or Santa Lucia is back again. :p

Turkey breast in the oven and it's really starting to smell good!

I had chicken and biscuits, but I didn't bounce it off the floor this time.

The WCHA last year had a press release stating that it would not allow a league game to be played outdoors. They said that the outdoor ice allows the weather to play too much of a factor into the outcome of the game. It struck me as odd, given that they allowed the women's league (BSU/UW) series outdoor at Camp Randall last year. My bet is that they allow the women to play outdoors because, as much as they won't admit to it, the league simply doesn't care about the women's league.

Well. it looked like bandaids. and ik it's UML I'm not stupid. Also, I was sitting there, and both sides spun it. I saw what I saw, and the people around me saw the same things. Plus right as/after the glass shattered, I clearly saw a UML player tap the glass with his stick. Also explain the bench breaking? I think you need to grow up. You can't admit you guys were at fault at all. Yes, RIT fans riled up your players, but you can't say that it was all RIT fans' faults. just your post right there shows you have no class. I am going to stop now, because obviously you won't and need to stop thinking your team and your husband are a bunch of gent's. They're ruthless, gutless hockey players.

edit: Also according to your logic, every time a player is rammed into the boards the glass would break. Are we to believe that a couple of fans slapping the glass caused it to shatter?

Beer pong: that's zyklon b. zyklon is cyclone in german. learn german it's fun.

Yep, and he's making the place stink more than it usually does.

So, what do we think? Give the area clown here the Rimmy? ;-)
