Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 121: How will you spend your days until the season starts?

I'm sitting at Houston airport waiting to go home.

Customer was at our test facility this morning and he was ****ed. He told me "I know its not your fault but someone needs an asschewing, so i am going to tell you what is ****ing wrong with this piece of **** and you'll have to relay the message to the right people so someone gets their *** chewed" all in a cajun accent. It was interesting, probably only because i wasn't the one that had ****ed up big time. So i called my supervisor's supervisor right away and told him about it all, and he agreed that there was a big problem with what was going on with the project and he said he'd immediately make some calls to deliver some of his own asschewings. Overall i think i did all i could and made a good impression for myself on everyone by the way i handled the situation.

Also, i might have to come back down next week to work on this some more, so i'll have to close on the house and leave right away, then get back on friday just in time for the party friday night. Then on saturday i have to leave for houghton where i'll be for a week for career fair. We're hiring 1100 new college hires this year so there are a bunch of interviews to do.
Need any ChemE's? I know a guy...

Yep, really putting a crap in my idea of wandering around Fall Fest tonight in Clinton. Eh, maybe I'll just watch Serenity tonight instead, watched all of the Firefly episodes earlier this week.

Hey Big, Glad to help you. Enjoy some football this weekend. I'll be pulling for my beloved Air Force Falcons in their game against Wyoming.

I have no idea why you'd want to wander around that goddammed thing in the first place. With the one street torn up it might be a complete cluster****, even more than what it is now. I haven't been to FF in about 18 years, and from what I'm told, I'm not missing much.

Mostly just for ****s and giggles. That, and sometimes I just get a handering for an elephant ear. ;)

Going to Findlay tomorrow to watch football. Expect a few rants and raves later about how bad their field is. You would think that Big Ben could have shelled out a few bucks to make sure his HS field had propper drainage put in so it would be such a clusterfunk!!

40 mph wind gusts outside. Several reported tree limbs down and power outages.

Never never NEVER cut off a Techie's power. Think werewolves and full moons.

If I get home and my power goes off, I begin the SENANICANS. Be warned.

Some homemade chicken soup, good for what ails me

It's true - you'd have to be on crack to keep up with those monsters for an entire day. I feel worn out when I have to deal with them for 10 minutes.

But we won't know about it since your power is off. :p If a Techie gets hammered and doesn't post about it, did it actually happen?

Evening, Lodge. Again, thanks for the well-wishes - Dad is home, ambulatory, and in about as good a mood as one can imagine for having undergone kidney stone surgery. And as for the windy day, I was glad that I was wearing all wool at work for once. :o

Good Evening, Lodge!

Relaxing after my first week as the dual roles Graphic Designer/Art Coordinator. It is good to know that my fellow co-workers are glad that I am the Art Coordinator.

I know a certain mech eng. I hate Peshtigo, and love the Twin Cities.

But what if Scarlet wants to visit your martini bar?

I'll come back just for her. Don't worry.
I bought that zebra print dress for a reason. Though, I've realized that its lack of cleavage-showing isn't going to help with tips. :p

So supposedly this is my generation's Stairway to Heaven.

It's hilarious.

What a relief. It was bit nerve-wracking to go to a family wedding on our 4th or 5th date. :p It did make for beautiful pictures though.

Only about 1.3 miles alternating jogging and walking for 20 minutes, but it's my first time out in about 6 weeks and I was wary of any foot pain. No pain this morning, so I may try and pick up the pace tomorrow. Sunday is a rest day as we're going to 6 Flags.
Beats going to his mother's wake...

Just found out my boss is going to be off for 2 weeks. I am covering the practice by myself the afternoon of my birthday which means the plans I made for dinner are shot. I will be lucky to get out before 8. I am very sad. First Mr is traveling then this. THis sucks. For the last 3 yrs Mr has been traveling and for some reason I am covering the practice every time. :(

Once again, hope all is well with your dad.

Yummy.

I had stuffed zucchini with 100% grass fed ground beef, rice, and feta cheese. Delicious.

Evening, Lodge. I had the most wonderful scone today at Earthly Kneads; first sweet treat I've had in months. It'll help with the 18-miler in the morning...

Glad that worked out for you. That's really the only way that I know of to deal with enormous zucchinis, short of making A LOT of bread.

F2B&G, I still think Mel had the best idea when Bob asked for ideas on his Facebook. :D

Actually, if you make pie with zucchini apparently it tastes like apple pie.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 121: How will you spend your days until the season starts?

Is it normal to take 40+minutes to download one hour-long tv episode?

And I still have leftover pieces from said zucchini. Might as well toss those in a food processor and make bread with them.

If only... :)
