Afternoon Lodge. Still in Chicago, going to Twins @ Sux tonight with my cous and his wife.

Took a break from the conference to do some work and e-mail files back to the office. :( Too bad when the real work gets in the way of continuing ed.

So, PB got home from work today and I did a double take.

"Uh.. Steve? How did you get a black eye?"
"Huh?"
"You have a black eye."
"Oh, I thought that was just bags this morning."
"So... Bauer's fault?"
"Yup."

:D :D :D Lil won his JV XC meet. w00t!! I was so proud~ he ran an incredibly smart tactical race, ran the hills like an animal and didn't look like a freshman at all. :D .

Noticed the other day that the 4-wheeler was acting funny. When I let off of the throttle it would feel like it was braking, not coasting like it usually does. Yesterday and today it felt like it was getting lugged way too much for not hauling anything. I suspected that something was wrong, was thinking wheel bearing or drivetrain problems. Couldn't find anything. Today after a bit of a ride over to the farm I noticed that it smelled very hot, so I felt around again, to try to find where the heat was coming from, sure enough, the rear axle, next to the brake drum was too hot to touch. Looks like I get to replace a wheel bearing before I ride it anymore, probably try to get it done Saturday morning before I try to have fun.

Margarita for Happy Hour. Chinese chicken salad with mandarin oranges and candied pecans for dinner. Fresh cantaloupe and chocolate almond lace cookies for dessert. Have a good evening folks.:)

Evening Lodge. I've got some delicious Havarti cheese, some fruit, some crackers... all I need is a bottle of good wine.
