I'll tell you right now ANYTHING sets the check engine light off. ANYTHING. I've had it come on when I only needed windshield wiper fluid.
For the non-Wrangler owners, there are few dashboard lights. The check engine light seems to be the default light that comes on.

You can disable the seatbelt bonger by turning the key to accessory mode and buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt a bunch of times. There's a way to make it show what's wrong if you get a check engine light too.
Apparently having the wrong current through the speakers will set off the check engine light![]()
