Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

Hahahaha...my Jeep has cheat codes :D

You can disable the seatbelt bonger by turning the key to accessory mode and buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt a bunch of times. There's a way to make it show what's wrong if you get a check engine light too.

Apparently having the wrong current through the speakers will set off the check engine light

I'll tell you right now ANYTHING sets the check engine light off. ANYTHING. I've had it come on when I only needed windshield wiper fluid.

For the non-Wrangler owners, there are few dashboard lights. The check engine light seems to be the default light that comes on.

Yeah, I just found the list of the check engine codes.

Among the gems the check engine light will come on for...

- unreadable cassette/CD
- bad speaker circuits
- GPS or other electronic gizmo is disconnected
- electronic key fob is running out of batteries
- the VIN doesn't match or has been removed
- horn stuck
- loose gas cap

Huh. All the ones that I never had. That leaves me wondering what else they might not know about (accidental activation of the light)

I would think that if the horn is stuck, you're going to know well before the check engine light pops on.

Let's see... bunch of people had various illnesses and injuries including at least one shoulder surgery and one arm surgery. Priceless got told by the SSA that he's not really dis-abled  and all the crap that happened in the past two years didn't really happen -- but for some reason he still owes the hospital bills anyway. :( tCBG and 'Ewe are still dating, Scarlet is still watching TV and drinking martinis (with a hottie bartender :D ), Ralph is still riding his bike, Brent is still driving a forklift, patman is still living in DC and Sloe Gin is still flying, but now is with a different company and will be based out of Greensboro instead of Denver. Which, he knows he's not going to like because it takes him away from his fiancee.

Twitch moved to Alaska and bought a Jeep, LWB got a job and Greyeagle's or Goldy's son (Sorry! I forgot which) wants to go to..gasp... UND to be a pilot. I moved to Connecticut with Mr. Hit and we are waiting for the arrival of our baby girl in September. (well, hopefully sept, she's already tried to make one early appearance)

ETA - everyone still hates pants and loves bacon.

I felt like I just read the opening crawl in Star Wars. "It is a dark time for the Lodge... Although some people went to Detroit most people were grateful for saving $700 to see 3 blow-out hockey games in a crappy city's domed stadium. Oh yeah, and I'm preggo." ;)

How have you been?

I've moved back to Annapolis, lost 35 lbs and 6 inches with aim at more, in the last year my ex has torpedoed 2 potential relationships of mine (yay for working in the same spot), my golf game still sucks, school's out, my NHL team blows chunks, I love my boat, I love being "the fun uncle" to a 9-month old, I just got back from driving up-and-back to NJ today to help put up a screen house at my grandmother's, and it looks like the next time I'll be stepping foot in New England won't be until Pats-Colts weekend in late November.

Psych evaluation (MMPI-2) is set for Wednesday at noon at St. Paul Downtown Airport. Then I play the waiting game. Again. However this one should end with an actual job offer.

Now to figure out how to get there. I know where the airport is...just not the tower specifically.

lol...I know it's off 52. And even the exit to take. It's more how to get to the tower on the field once I'm at the airport.

And no, that's actually not what I'll be doing...:p

Well, I know that Toby Keith's is in SLP.

And I know it's close to your work.

But I have no idea how to get there.

And, an air traffic controller doesn't control airplanes?

And you are not in the midwest?

What are they paying you for?

I think that is close to a box. Heh. Kinda summarizes your life story. :D

Morning from Dublin, Ireland. Probably going to the Guiness Factory and Jameson distillery today. I'll be sure to take pictures and share them at some point. Hope all is well with everybody.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Nasty thunderstorms rolled through SE Wisconsin last night when I was right about to go to bed. There is nothing to distract you like a tornado siren. No damage that I see...yet. At least I get to look forward to the cookout at work today.
