Haha, the line split and will miss basically the entire twin cities metro area.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

That's not a good thing. It means the humidity will stick around.
No it won't. Whether or not storms hit, the dry line will still push through tonight and it will be much more comfortable tomorrow. Dewpoints are in the 40s-50s in the western part of the state right now.

Oh I just realized the other problem with storms. ABC is going to run weather all night and will probably miss at least the entire first half of the NBA Finals coverage.

And this is a problem, why?

Woot! Managed to pick up our (me, 'ewe, and the Hits) present for my dad tonight, without having to spend an arm and a leg for a customized NFL jersey. I just hope it fits him. :o

This is a problem how, exactly?

Yeah, this is a problem. In a perfect world, weather would interrupt the entire finals.

Meh, I don't watch NBA basketball much, but i'd watch a game 7 for a title.

In other news, this is my new band.

Kind of sound like a mix of Dark Tranquility, Opeth and Cradle of Filth.
I haven't heard any of those bands (but I've heard *of* them). I'll give the new stuff a listen. I'm curious, at the least. Are you totally done with the last band?

WOO!

Home early from class and with my running out of the way earlier, I'm totally free tonight. It's kind of weird, I don't know what to do with myself.

Where are all the Kings of Leon and Killers covers?
Those are for the band that actually pays. This one's for fun. I like metal a whole lot, but there's no money in it. :(

DT (and us, I guess) is considered, by us metal dorks, melodic death metal: slow, deathy/growly vocals, lots of melody, few blast beats if any. Opeth is more prog-like and acoustic at times (hell, I think that homo GLM even likes them) and Cradle is... um... black metal, I suppose.

In Flames, Shadows Fall and Soilwork are also in that "melodic death" subgenre.

its like i have too much time on my hands right now... 2 hrs in the gym 3 times a week has really thrown me off. Almost Friday.

I've not heard much, but I think you might actually like Opeth.

I can give you some suggestions...

Just giving you crap about the covers. :p

And from everything I've heard, there's not much money in music in general. Well, not much in playing it. Producing/recording it? That's a different story.

Cupcakes.

Oh, and I like old metal type bands. Anthrax for instance.
