Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

I just saw a commercial for Johnsonville brats. Now I have a hankering for brats.

There's a Johnsonville Brats truck here, if you can believe it. You see it making the grocery store rounds every so often. Always makes us do a double take.

I just saw a commercial for Johnsonville brats. Now I have a hankering for brats. I'm going to have to stop by a Cub and pick up a package of their store brand brats. I haven't tried anything else locally that can match them. That said, I've never walked into a Von Hansen's before.

Hyvee's brats are really good, down in IA City.
I'm making brats today, along with sauteed onions and peppers.

Good luck!

Good morning, Lodge. Looking forward to doing nothing today, except for making dinner.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Today is going to be a boring day... I"ve gotten most of the normal weekend chores done... I suppose I could clean the kitchen or the bathroom... meh.

Not a lot to do around here unless you want to saunter through crowds... oh, wait, I forgot I bought 8 ears of corn... have to work on that this afternoon.

Mr. Hit!:D

Remember you liked my thought on thex.

In true homage to tLodge, how about Mr. Hit It? :p

Mr FOB (father of baby)

Big legal

"Mr Guy That Scores on Legal's five-hole" ;) :p :D

So it's come down to Mr. Hit or the Hitman. Discuss. :p :)

(and Mookie, while that is a true statement, it's a little long and well, my brother doesn't need to be reminded of that everytime I talk about my husband)

<-- really digs Target Field. :)

Missed you last night.;) Thanks to CHA for selling me his tickets. Took the kid, my first time in the park since it was finished (kid had gone with a buddy before that, I had toured while it was under construction). Nice. :) When the rain fell we were under the high roof on the upper deck then the sun came out and shined right at us in reflection off the downtown buildings (that's why you wear a baseball cap;) ), then some rainbows appeared and the clouds were really cool looking against the skyline.

Today I have to finish with the weed eater down along the pond.:( What I hate about them is the fact that the string ALWAYS gets crossed on the spool and fails to feed properly and I have to keep taking it off and clearing it. Thinking about shopping for a new one to see if anyone has solved that - also looking for rechargeable so I don't have to mess with the cord.

Grilling barbecued chicken later on - it's marinating now.

Everyone remember the moment of remembrance at 3 PM today for those who gave their lives for our freedoms! Then have a great holiday!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Was at a BBq at Jenna's house yesterday. Good times - lots of food and drink and awesome weather. Around 11:30pm we were just hanging out on her deck having a few beverages and playing Marry, Date or Dump and I felt my eyelid was a little puffy. Checked it out in the bathroom. I must have gotten a mosquito bite or something. It's swollen. Not swollen shut, but still puffy. Not sure if it's actually a bite - I didn't feel myself getting bit. So, now I'm not sure if it's a sty. How would I know the difference?

I've been putting ice on it and I took a Benadryl. It seemed like it got a teeny bit worse over night. Still not too bad. I was just wondering if I take this day off and go to the walk in clinic or do I wait it out, see if it gets worse and have to take time off work to get it checked out. And if I go to the doctor am I just going to be told "put ice on it and take Benadryl"?

evening lodge. Saw two of my friends get married today. Beautiful ceremony in a Greek Orthodox fashion. I was an usher and Quiz was a bridesmaid. I looked at her and wondered seriously how lucky I am.

Also, I roped Bakunin into helping pass out programs, since the other usher was a complete useless blob. And of course, about 4 times this weekend, I said to Bakunin that I don't know what to do.

BolderBoulder tomorrow morning. 10K. Wish me luck!

Good luck.

Being an usher isn't that difficult. You pass out programs, put the bride's family/guests on one side, the groom's on the other, and make sure the old ladies that show up get to their pews/seats without breaking a hip. After the ceremony you let them go, one aisle at a time. Go to reception and get loaded like a freight train. End.

Is that the PG version of "Marry, *uc*, Kill"?

If its a sty you will be told to use a hot washcloth on it 3x a day and use something to keep it from becoming (more) infected.

Otherwise if it doesn't improve they will want to lance it, and believe me, that sucks!

and it was super easy when I was able to rope Bakunin into passing out most of the programs. :D

Hot out.. Third day of blah golf in a row (82-83-82). Nit sure if I want to play some tennis for the second day in a row, drink by the pool and scare the young children, or hit the course once again..

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

Hi, Lodge! It was a fun, crazy weekend back home. :) Unfortunately, SENANICANS mode was never reached, as upon my arrival I immediately took over drunk wrangling. My little sister was pretty well blasmed, I had to make sure she didn't end up in the water or in the fire, and had to take drinks away from her once my mom cut her off.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 113: Whutchu talkin' about, Meyer?

bored... some how I left one black sock in the washing machine... and because of that it seems to have managed to tear at the shower curtain when i threw that in the wash... I may toss the shower curtain though... it grows these mold splotches... that's what I get for buying a cloth curtain... **** I'm bored.
