Meh. The kid wanted to go to Perkins with the rest of the team so we did that (should have sent him with another family and gone to Carol's). This is not the USA cup, but it's still a * big tourney. Everywhere was packed. :(

Yes it was. Horribly annoying. I hate the weekend tourists in my hood :)

If I didn't have a meeting at a client's this afternoon and a nice big confrontational scheduling meeting this morning - this might have been a mental health day today. :(

I'm getting really frustrated with this dam shoulder problem. I've got a ton of stuff around the house and yard I need to get done that I can't do while crippled up. Some of it the kid can do when he gets time (tough to find that between school work, spring hockey, soccer, piano lessons, firearm safety training and sleeping), other things he can't reach and I can't get my right arm above my head.

You're going to have to get that fixed soon. The longer you have it not working the harder its going to be to get it to work.

Morning lodge

Busy weekend, busy Monday. Time flies!

In addition to the on-site interview with IBM on Thursday, I also picked up a phone interview with Chrysler for tomorrow. It's only for an intern position, but if they come through and IBM doesn't hire me this round, it'd be better than nothing.

There's nothing wrong with getting that extra work experience, you'll be that much more marketable when you try to get something full time, after the internship is up.

The ceiling in our office is leaking in about 4 different places. We're on the top floor of our building and if it was during the heavy and torrential rains we got last month I could understand. But it's sunny and, like, 80 degrees out.

There must be a toilet overflowing upstairs.

It's probably the HVAC units on the roof. :(

Does the pipe that carries the Boston water supply go through your roof? ;)

Apparently a maintenance worker left a valve on.

Hey now! As the HVAC & plumbing engineer for the Lodge I resent that!

It's probably the HVAC or plumbing piping in the ceiling instead.;)
Ok, so, it's not the engineer's fault, but the plumber's fault. In the end, I suspect it doesn't really matter to the people who's stuff is getting wet.

So now there's Scary Thunderstorm Sky and I don't have my umbrella with me. Crap.
