Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Well, Yale says screw you!:p

3-0 after 2. Yale doing it's part to get the ECAC some respect. BC didn't look great today, so who knows what can happen tomorrow should Yale hold off the Sioux in the 3rd.

Unreal, just came home from my town meeting, to see this and then see the UHN RIT score, what the heck is going on.
Have fun in the EC_easy thread:p

The loonies just keep coming out in force, it's unreal how many nitwits there are in the world.

Yes, I realize the ECAC doesn't have a spectacular track record, but to prevent them from getting teams into the tourney is

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Wow, this is cah-RAY-zee.
Actually, I'm starting to think this is the new normal. Last year's tournament was nuts, and this year's isn't all that different (RIT and SCSU in the frozen four is a distinct possibility, and if it materializes, it would trump BSU making it last season I think).

Atlantic Hockey has proven over the years that its conference tourney winner will not only be competitive in the tournament but dangerous. Air Force knocked out Michigan last season, Air Force nearly knocked out MN in '07, Holy Cross knocked out MN in '06... it's clear that teams can't overlook this conference's representative in the tournament.

Norton just said the HC-MN upset was still the biggest. I don't know. By seeding, RIT knocking out Denver is the same as HC knocking out MN. In both cases, the team being knocked out was the WCHA regular season champion and lost both games at the WCHA tournament in St. Paul. Denver lost to UND and UW, while MN lost to SCSU and UW in '06. In both cases, the favored team was basically playing a road game - Denver played RIT in Albany, NY while MN played HC in Grand Forks.

I'd say the upsets are equal to each other (the only reason you might have for saying HC-MN was bigger is that it happened first).

RIT outshot UNH 18-6 in the 2nd. Good lord.

Yale, SCSU, Bemidji, St Cloud

Yale, SCSU, Bemidji, St Cloud
That would trump everything that's ever happened in college hockey.

Bemidji has a fair amount of work to do in order to advance - they're generally getting outplayed by Michigan, and both goalies are playing well.

Is his name Dirk Hembroff? ;)

Tech's play-by-play announcer; he sounds like an 8-year old when the puck comes within 10 feet of the crease.

I think this guy is related to Dirk

Found out earlier today I now have ESPN 360 after I didnt have it last year at this time AWESOME
