Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Good Morning

I'm starting to think I should expand my use of the ignore feature past the 2 posters that are currently there, instead of continuing to purposely antagonize the d-bags around here.

Yeah, I forgot to thank you guys for taking care of Calgary the other night.

Well, to be fair, they started Toskala. That was comical.

And cc to goldy: just checked and Jup only needs help on Fri, which I can't do.

My thoughts exactly. We need to find out Ralph's dentist's name. I'll bet twenty bucks it's Svetlana Hottnikov, or something like that.

Actually this was an implant dentist (and he is male). He just admired his work from December and said that I can now go to my regular dentist who will put on a crown. That will be next Monday. :) (To be precise, next Monday they will just measure for the crown. This is a long drawn-out process.)

Edit: Maybe the trouble is that I eat too many Pop Tarts. :D

Goldy
On the NESN broadcast of HE tourney, USA hockey had an ad showing a Edina Bantam?, squirt? team and some of their uniforms had a stop sign on the back just below the neck. Never seen that before, I assume its to remind the kids not to hit anyone in the back?

All Minnesota Hockey youth uniforms have the stop sign, also all Wisconsin as far as I can tell. I thought it was USA Hockey, but I guess not since you don't have it there. And yes, it's to prevent CFB. Each year the CFB is a point of emphasis with it being a 2 min minor and 10 min misconduct. At the start of our season it was called about one every two games or so. By the end of the season the same exact hit became a boarding, roughing or cross check.

It's a tough thing because there is the natural tendency to protect the puck with your body, thereby turning your back on an approaching checker. It's tough to get kids to stop that and tough to get kids to be in control enough to pull up when the back is turned. I don't see a lot of kids lining someone up when their back is turned. It's usually the case where it starts as a legal check, then the other kid turns his back.

The Edina Peewees swept this season. The A team won state, the two B1 teams played for the state final (both won semis by 7 or more). The district B2 final was two Edina teams as was the district C final (B2 and C only go through district). We had 12 teams for about 200 kids. We should have had two A teams, our board chickened out and went for the hardware instead of player development.

Dentist this morning.
I just got back from mine. While brushing my teeth this morning I heard something go "plink" when I rinsed and was able to catch a glimpse of one of my crowns as it dissappeared in the drain. Luckily, I was able to take apart the p-trap and get it so the dentist could put it back in place. :(

Hello kids. Figured I might as well jump in here seeing as how I haven't posted in a Lodge in 2+ weeks. (I know you all missed me)

I'm finally done with BPA forever and ever thank God.
Had an interview at Shopko, got the job.
Had a couple interviews at Wells Fargo, will found out on Friday whether or not I got the job.
Met PB's mom, and she didn't hate me. In fact, she thought I was nice.
Annnnd Coach Russell's still not fired!

Life's good.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 106: My Team I Do Deeply Dig

Also, somebody wanna give me a refill?? Got dinged by eaglefan06 I think. Whoever that clown was that ASAAG was locking horns with earlier. :p

Hey Big, What did you say that earned you a red bullet? My error was making several posts in different threads leaving a link to a poll which I created giving posters the chance to select the teams they thought would make it to the Frozen Four. My neg rep said I was trying to call attention to myself. In reality, my intent was/is to get as many posters involved in the poll as possible. Yeah, pretty controversial on my part =====> tyring to get people to make picks for the Frozen Four.

Thanks for the refill from yesterday. I'd have sent you one as well, but by the time I saw your request you'd been boosted back to "brilliant."

God today sucks. Everyone who's come to me for assistance has gotten a "no" or a "It will take some time to do that" response. How quickly they forget about all the other tasks I performed swiftly and capably on their behalf.

No - you can't rearrange the order of the business system applications menu so it "makes more sense to you" (three years after go live)

If you want the enter key on the numeric portion of your keyboard to function as a tab key, you'll need a programmable keyboard. That will take some time. Two days is too long? Try waiting 6-8 weeks for your x-ray specs to show up in the mail, kid.

You want the corporation to switch to a newer version of MS Office? Call the Help Desk and get in line. Behind me.

When you're on the phone and another call comes in you want it to ring louder? Turn up the volume. Too loud? Too bad. Deal.

/End Rant
//For now :mad:

Back at ya Mel :)

And I'm not worried about HR here. I was talking with our HR manager yesterday about her trip to D.C. for a HR Manager conference. I mentioned, half kidding of course  , that it's too bad the new health care bill didn't offer provisions for the legal use of medical marijuana nationwide.
She said, "I'm not a user any longer, but I can hook you up"

 :D
