Good morning, Lodge. Took my mom for an MRI this morning, trying to rule out a stroke. If it's not, it may just be alzheimer's or dementia setting in; either way, I'm getting more and more concerned.

i have kelly clarkson's 'since you've been gone' and i sing along... loudly.:o 'sexy back' is on there too, but that's primarily for the boys.;)

It was especially nice to see hard working senior Brandon Vossberg be elevated to the second line [in place of injured Jesse Martin] and then score a goal and two assists in the decisive third period.

Vossberg is the best defensive forward on the team and it was a treat to see him get to play with two talented players [Kyle Ostrow and Anthony Maiani] last night. Every highly successful team needs a player who's willing and able to do "the dirty work" of playing on a checking line.

I remember listening to a post-game interview of George Gwozdecky earlier this season. He was asked what the team does when it is killing off a two man disadvantage. Gwozdecky replied that--WITHOUT QUESTION--Vossberg is the best defensive forward on the team because he understands where to position himself in defending a 5 on 3. Gwozdecky said that if Vossberg is available when DU is facing the task of killing a 5 on 3 he's the first forward he sends out in that situation. With that in mind it was a pleasure to see Vossberg get to enjoy, what for him, was a huge offensive night [1-2-3]. Great job by a real "team" player.

I'm looking forward to this evening's game and hope the boys can stretch their current win streak to eight games. Denver is an impressive 11-1-2 since the first of January.

It is a beautiful day. 50 degrees (doesn't quite feel that warm) so I went out and wandered in the yard and threw the fallen branches into the scrub area. Refreshing.

in 1978 they at least gave the friars another chance to beat the terriers.;) i don't know if finally calling some penalties late last night equal that 2nd chance.

Sounds like a good way of dealing with getting up late. I actually woke up early today, I was out of bed at 10:15.

In before lock. Also not it.

Afternoon, leaving for Providence and the Meehan Morgue in 3 hours or so. Gotta beat Brown tonight and hope for some help to keep the top 4 bye a realistic opportunity for next weekend.

And shot: Last night's game was all sorts of weird. Blase for Yale didn't play well, and Tisi for SLU was a one man army for the first period, and got hung out to dry a few times too. Yale's dangerous and a scary fast team, Cornell and Yale are probably our best bets to do damage in March.
