Good Evening Lodge!

Back from carnival. That was a fun time.

I really wish ST would just go away, I noticed she was posting in the Tech thread again.

I think fun time is an understatement of how the weekend went. Saturday was epic; Suomi, DT, get alcohol for game, get brooms, game, and then more drinking

Don't the Tech geeks have ways of alerting one another on how to get the word out? How else could that entire school ended up on these boards in the last few years? Just get the word out to put her on ignore, and you're all golden. She won't get the hint...right away, but she'll eventually go away.

Some people like talking to her...

Add in the entertainment and jokes we got out of the whole 17 year old situation and it just made it that much better! :D ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Ok, The Who was painful to watch.

This may be true, however that stage was Awesome.

Eff campus cops. I parked just in front of a no parking zone.. like, my back tire was JUST inside of it (meaning, about 1/5th of my car was in the no parking zone)... I get a ticket for it. Meanwhile, every week there is a car that visibly parks in an area thats crossed off, and they never have any paper on their windshield. This is getting appealed... ohhhhh yes it is.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

OK, time to explain my comment:

The pep band at NMU has recently upped the ante at yelling asinine things at the hockey games of late. They've now dubbed themselves, "The Rudest Pep Band in the CCHA", and started a group extolling this fact and proudly proclaiming it.

You know, I'm all for the atmosphere of college hockey, and sometimes, yes, that does involve being immature and yelling not-exactly-appropriate things at the other team. However, proudly proclaiming yourselves as the "rudest" in any area is NOT something to be proud of. It makes you immature little twats, and your alumni ashamed to have been associated with that group. Heck, when several Tech band members say, "Wow, that's not cool", then you KNOW it's not a good thing, right?

*k this.

No offense, but when Techies think something isn't cool, in most cases, it's so much cooler than they could ever realize. After all, they thought going to Tech was a good idea in the first place. Then they found out there was only one woman's dorm. And it's only a third the size of the next smallest dorm. And yet they still stuck around that place.

Just what kind of crap are they yelling? How far over the "line" is it?

And let them know that they could NEVER top tSBFitW from the 70's/80's. We were EVIL sons of *****es. The WCHA doesn't allow traveling bands. We're why. Now we do the whole F5 thing and we're big-time babyfaces, which we seem to like better. More fun.

I was told that I was over "the line" last night. But the injured player ended up being able to get off the ice, kinda, so I don't feel bad about it.

I have no shame.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

It's not even that it's over any kind of line. It's just asinine, and it's the same few "you're gay" or "you suck johnson" jokes over and over and over. It stopped being funny the first 10 times they did it.

I'm all about over the line....as a fan. But when you represent the school in an official fashion, yeah, you have to watch it.
