Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Good mornin' to tLodge! ;)

Sorry pal... I obviously disagree with you this morning.

Who are you and what have you done with those impostors claiming to be the Bob Katz? Five goals, my eye.

Of course I knew all along your team had a chance because it wasn't playing one of the Ivies.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Shot: totally agree. Last night's game had the feel of a big-time playoff game for two periods. Tons of action.

That Chevy is something special, I'll tell you that. I've seen 4-5 DU games this year, and wowzers.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Happy Saturday... my plans for today are decorating the restaurant for tonight's Mardi Gras party and then, well, of course, attending said party.

are you partaking in Mardi Gras activities? ;)

I've got an all black outfit. I pull it off well.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

'Morning, Lodge. I'm sick and dying, and I just stood outside for an hour watching Flashy's and Yager's broomball team curbstomp some team 20-0. I think I'm gonna squeeze in a nap now before we go to a bouncyball game.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Good morning, Lodge. Went for a 6 mile run this morning in decent weather; hardly any wind at all.

Looking forward to taking a short nap this afternoon and then watching the Olympics all day, liquor in one hand, sandwich in the other.

I did a nice 3 mile run. Getting back into the swing of things post move is going well.

As for the olympics, I dont have a tv but I tempted to buy one just for the olympics, I apparently get very basic cable when i have internet with comcast.

I think I am also going to go exlore a near by park, might be a good place for some snow shoeing.

Speaking of dress shirts, there was discussion in the "Show Yourself" thread about my wardrobe choice for Kat's holiday party; and while the combination may have been too dark, this gal didn't seem to mind when I wore the same plum colored shirt and met her after the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show in St. Louis:

She may even be Mookie approved. ;)

No I just forgot to sign in because I was busy with some problems like the thread I just started in the Cafe.

Also, I have been working on my income tax and realized that I am still missing some investment information. Why does income tax keep getting more complicated? Someone with a PhD in math should be able to do this fairly easily especially with tax software.
Hey I'm a lawyer and I still hire someone else to do my taxes.

are you partaking in Mardi Gras activities? ;)
Nope. :( I can't drink right now and well,as for other Mardi Gras activities, it is a family establishment. While on the "I am a healthy heterosexual male who likes a good time" level I know the owner would appreciate my partaking in such activities, on the "I own a business and would like my customers to keep coming here" level he would not be happy. (Plus this is the place where i get free food and beer... so you know that I am all for keeping the owner, and his wife, happy)

I have a friend who's an accountant and she hires someone else to do her taxes. It mostly has to do with lack of time this time of the year...

Yeah, don't do anything to jeopardize free food and beer.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Headed up to hopefully see something better than the mite-league performance put on by SLU last night against the Tigresses of Princeton. 4pm start time so the blessed ivies can get back at a decent hour and stick their nose in a book or 15.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

my diploma frames came in... they look awesome... except I might have put in my PhD degree in slightly crooked... not sure if I want to mess with it though... can only bend metal backings 3 times and all that stuff.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

I didn't know Red Wing work boots came with heels that high! :p
Funnyyyy.
She probably wears spiked boots to work. I hear they come with a matching whip.
Well, the most recent job I've had was one as a waitress, definitely didn't wear heels there. :p
Prior to that, I was a volleyball announcer/scorekeeper. Definitely didn't wear heels to that either.

I thought you guys had a shot when you made it 2-1 with 1:30 left. Then Kangas let in that softie spinaroonie 5-hole.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Good afternoon Lodge.

Just got back from a mid afternoon lunch with friend that I hadn't seen in a while (who MNS and brent met at Censor's and DL knows). The place was still serving only breakfast at 2, but it was really tasty, so no complaints. I had a "home made pot roast hash with onions, peppers and 2 eggs", different, but really good.

Now, I'm just sitting around watching the Olympics, which is probably what I'll do all day and night. :p
